MLM Success Secrets

People are always looking for a secret tip, strategy or blueprint that will propel them to success in all areas of life. We see this most often with diet and weight-loss. Hey, just take this pill and you'll have the body of a super model. How many people do you know that have had success after finding this "secret pill?" Guess what?

There is no one secret to success

Success in anything you do in life is the result of consistent disciplined action over a given period of time. You don't become successful after one day of talking to 10 people about your business opportunity. It's important to note that you do not instantly become a failure after having a bad day either. Failure is the opposite of success, it is the result of not taking consistent disciplined action over a given period of time. With that being said, there are a few strategies that you need to know in order to reach success in this industry.

1. Know what you want

You've probably heard it many times but it cannot be stressed enough! You must have a reason for doing this business. Your WHY must be so large that nothing can stop you. If you do not have a big enough reason, one bad day of 10 rejections can knock you right off course and have you do down and out that you will never try again. This business can be tough if you don't have proper systems in place to help you succeed. It is your WHY that will pull you through the hard times.

2. Give it time

Although it does happen quite often, don't expect to be an overnight success in this industry. Many people spend months before they sell any products or sponsor any people. I'm not saying that you shouldn't expect to be successful, I'm just saying that success is a journey and if you try to rush it, you'll be disappointed.

3. Be Consistent

Consistency is extremely important with anything you do in life if you expect to have success with it. For example, investing monthly over the course of 20 years will give you much greater returns than if you had only done it every now and then. Compound interest kicks in and your money starts to grow exponentially. The same can be said with health and fitness. If you exercise and eat healthy daily, you can expect a long healthy life. On the other hand, if you simply workout whenever you feel like you are getting out of shape, you will live a miserable life. Be consistent in your efforts and it will always pay off in the end as long as you are following a system that works.

4. Have a mentor with a good system to follow

Seek out those who are always moving forward and have systems in place that puts this business on autopilot 24 hours per day. The beauty of this industry is that it can be accomplished in so many ways. If you like face to face prospecting and going to local meetings, great! There are great systems in place for that. If you are like me and would rather take advantage of the power of the internet to do the work for you, even better! You can truly build this business to any level you want using practically any method that suits you.

5. Forget about the money

Ok, most people have probably just clicked off of this page after reading that statement but it's so true! Many people think that they will be successful once they are making lots of money. So they go out with dollar signs all over their foreheads expecting to recruit people. The fact is, the money will only come after you are successful. Once you have developed as a person and have become a successful leader, you will be able to earn as much as you want. So if you are just starting out, focus on doing the daily disciplines and developing yourself as a leader. Continue with this and you WILL find success.

MLM success is achieved through hard work, period! No matter what you do, this industry is all about helping people. No matter what system you use, you still need to talk to prospects on the phone, face to face or by other methods. You can't help people unless you have a relationship with them and truly want to help them. Don't focus on the money, your prospect can see that from a mile away if you are only interested in making a quick buck off of them. You must develop the passion helping others succeed in order to be successful in this industry.
