Picture EXACTLY What You Want - All the Detail

To achieve what you want in life, you must know exactly what it is, be able to 100% define it, picture every detail of it. People often don’t do this very well.

But here’s the thing: if you can’t picture every detail, then you don’t really know what you want. And if you don’t really know what you want, how can you make it happen?

A big problem for a lot of people is that what they want is a moving target. That will never work. You have to make a decision, before you can go for it. That’s the only way you can create a strong vision.

Writing down a description is the place to start. Make a list of all the things that would make you happy. Everything. Don’t play devil’s advocate - write it all down in 5 minutes. Then prioritize - choose the top 3. The prioritize again - choose#1.

Now describe#1completely. Picture achieving that goal. In fact, picture it again and again and again and again. As you run through that movie a few hundred times, make a list of everything you see. Every smallest detail. If a question comes up, run the movie by again. Write down the elements that become more clear.

The idea is to be able to run a perfect version of that movie in your head, time after time after time. And watch closely, because over time, other smaller elements will become clear. Add them to your list.

Start working for this goal after you’ve watched the movie a few times, long before you have every detail totally clear. The harder you work at it, the harder it will be for you to give up.

That is the way you set out to get what you want in life.

Be A Star in Your Own Mind

Kinda sounds arrogant to wanta be a Star. However, if you don't believe you can be one, then you won't be. Pretty clear picture you've painted here. Thanks for the sharing.

The First step to Getting What You Want...

Is Deciding What it is You Want!

Great Post Ernie. A good Analogy is to Imagine Your Vision in HD! Picture all the Details and Actually be there. The Importance of adding the Details is to bring Emotion to What it is You Want. People make Decisions upon Facts but they Take action with Emotion!

What Drives YOU

I like how you make me have to vision what I want. It takes me back to my "WHY" and what makes me WANT to do this. When I vision for myself what the next few years have to offer, I see something pretty fantastic, and that Drives ME. Thanks Ernie

A star is born, but not without vision

Vision is so important. Your vision is what motivates you to get up in the morning and take those small steps that build you into success.

Great Article..

Decide what it is you want, imagine yourself already having it and set a course of action on how to attain it. Feel now how you would feel after you've received it.

thanks for the vision Ernie

Great advice. When we have the clear target in our sights we will surely be able to hit it 100% of the time.

See It, Smell It, Feel It!

Sometimes I will look into the picture and see me already living it. I see the joy, the excitement radiating from my face and throughout my family. I see the children smiling. Living in Abundance, bringing laughter and join to all that are around me. Thank you for this excellent article Ernie, you are an incredible leader and I am so grateful for your leadership.

Feeling it is sometimes tricky

It looks like you're a musician Ernie? I am married to a muso and I've noticed creative people find it easier to picture their visions. For me (not a creative person), it's easier if I have a mind map with all the details, or something that's in physical form. When I actually see all the details, it becomes easier to feel that I have it already.

Make it real for yourself...

To me, it doesn't matter what senses you use to convince your subconscious that your dream is already reality... do whatever it takes for YOU (we're all different). Use as many of your senses as you can to bring your goals to life. I am convinced it works. Thanks, Ernie :-D

hey, great article

Brilliant exercise! I do think it is easier for some people to visualize. Ya know, some are just dreamer/thinkers. I'm more of task orientated person. BUT! I do see the value in visualization. Time for me to go close my eyes and see it happening!
