Yesterday, I was sitting at the Mazada Dealers show room waiting for my car to be fixed and an astonishing thing came to my mind.
I noticed 2 military members come in a husband and wife wearing military attire with there precious little girl in toe.
After reading and listening to various books and audios on the minds thought process I decided to sit observe and take note:
The question came to my mind? Hum they came in with full military attire and changed while they where there into civilian attire. Now after changing the outer appearance does this mean they are not military, No. It just means they are off duty to the visible site, but they are still proud military members with the ability to spring back into action at a moments notice.
More questions came to my mind.
- With the uniform does this make them a solider? No…
- Does the fact that they are not wearing a uniform make them a non solider? No..
Now what does this have to do with perception or anything else for that matter.
After reading Think and Grow Rich, by Mr. Hill. My thought process has become heightened to look at the underlying factors of such things as DESIRE, PERSISTENCE and COMMITMENT.
First it take a desire combined with persistence and commitment by each one of these military members to become trained in there particular field of expertise.
Second, it is evident that they are soldiers when on duty, but the real question we all have to contend with is are we soldiers at HEART….
Just as these young men and women have signed a commitment to die for what they believe in so should we as Husbands, Wives, and friends and neighbors to believe in ourselves. The only thing we will leave on the table when we leave this world is our name. Make it as good and as big as possible so you can leave a positive take for the next generation…
If you are not building up then you are breaking down. Give people a hand up and not just a hand out… It does make a difference…
