I read in the book 'As A Man Thinketh' the following:
'You do not attract what you want, but who you are'
Who you are is who you are on the inside. How do you see yourself(i.e.- your self-image)? Do you imagine the best possible you? Do you see the mistakes that have been made and learn from them and grow?
Remember change is essential to growth. If you are unwilling to change inside, your outside world will never change. In other words to achieve the promotions at your job, increasing sales and profit through your business, you must first create a mental image of yourself achieving the promotions, increasing sales/profit levels, increasing customer satisfaction, etc.
Go back to the early entrepreneurs like the Wright Brothers. No one else saw how humans could build a machine that would take us up in the air. However, the Wright Brothers saw this machine and they first saw it in their minds. Then they created a vision and focused in on that vision daily. This drove them to take action steps that eventually created what we now call the Airplane.
