WHO ARE THE OWNERS? ARE THEY REPUTABLE?

a) Google the company name along with words like “scam”, “lawsuit”, “complaint”, etc.
b) Repeat with the names of owners, partners, and anyone associated with the company.
c) Check the history of the owners to see what previous companies they were in.
d) Check http://www.whois.net for the registrars of the domain name and date.
e) If they have registered only recently, BEWARE.
f) If the registration is by proxy, BEWARE.
g) Be sure the sites you trust for opinions are reputable.
