Did you know that everything you do influences everything else you do?
We are definitely creatures of habit. Example: if your habit is to turn on the TV every night when you get home from work, then what does THAT influence? Just to start, you might safely say:

  • the communication between you and others in your family
  • your mental activity and alertness
  • your outlook on life
  • the time you have available for personal growth
  • your ability to advance in your chosen career

Again, everything you do influences everything else you do. So you have the choice of lots of actions that can have long-term effects, either positive or negative.
Any habit can help you get farther ahead every day … or it can push you farther down. That’s why it’s so important to make choices that help you achieve your dreams.
It’s the old “slight edge” theory. Because the clock of your life is always running, the slight edge is always working 100% of the time. If you don’t strategize to make it work in your favor, then it will definitely work against you. The old saying goes http://almamoore.bigmlmtruths.com

Hi Alma, You know, you're so right with what you're saying here. I guess for a lot of people this will be too much of hassle though. To used to do those things they always do. I really hope your article will have a posotive effect on them and get them to take some different, life improving choises. Thanks for the thoughts :-)

evaluate our actions

Great advice, Alma. I love the Slight Edge approach. It's easy to do and easy not to do. Our choices determine what kind of results we will get. Ouch! huh?

I'm not sure if you came across this new social network, but it's spreading fast and I thought I'd let you know about it

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a great day! I'm not sure if you came across this new social network, but it's spreading fast and I thought I'd let you know about it. It’s a new social network just like Facebook, only better – it PAYS you for doing the same things you do on Facebook and it’s –FREE- to join!
It’s the new generation profit-sharing social network in which they share 70% of their revenue generated through advertisements, introducing people to the network, reading your mail, etc. It’s called PeopleString!

Checkout my new social network - http://www.peoplestring.com/?u=bethunemarketing

And best of all – it’s –FREE- to join! It’s going viral, so it’s the best time to get in. Look forward to seeing you on the String. Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy New Year!!,

actions

You are right again, Alma. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. You brought up turning on the news as a great example. This activity for me is heart-rending and demoralizing so I simply do not watch virtually anything on the media these days. They are so agenda-oriented and not truth-oriented save for a relatively few examples. I want to fill my mind with positive influences such as reading my Bible or speaking with someone who can encourage me (and vice versa as well). And you are right again: by not choosing an action, we are actually choosing not to do something. Everything in life is a choice whether we choose to do something or not. And we reap what we sow. Period.

Life IS a series of choices

You're absolutely right, Alma, life is a series of choices and, though our choices are not always just between good and bad or right and wrong, the direction of our lives is affected by every choice we make along the way. Thanks for sharing!
