What the heck can Network Marketing masterminds Mike Dillard and Jay Kubassek have in common with the president of the United States Barack Obama and billionaire Donald Trump?  The funny thing is with this trait is with all the multilevel marketing products I have purchased none of them taught me this lesson.  It is this trait that makes or breaks success for everyone in network marketing…

What am I even taking about?  Can one trait really make all the different between success and failure in anything?  I believe it can!  What is this trait?  I call it “being real.”  The fact of the matter is people want to know and trust you, long before they do business with you.  The challenge for new people in network marketing or people who’ve been involved for a long time is being comfortable being them self.

I even see it now with all the talk about “Attraction Marketing” and becoming an expert of network marketing, most people do not give me the impression they are “being real.”

How many people steal GURU sayings like “Hello My Friends” or using buzz works like Web 2.0 or even Web 3.0 (which I really don’t know the different between web version 1.0. 2.0 or 3.0).  The first step to “being real” with prospects is simple: Be your best self. 

Being your best self-means you are comfortable in your own skin.  You do not try to over play or under play your success.  You are ok with being who you are, maybe not where you are, but you are ok with whom you are.  People want to do business with people who have three basic traits:

1. People are want to be something
2. People who are going somewhere
3. People are doing something about it

Nowhere in this list do you see making a seven-figure income, or a certain company title.  People want to do business with people who they know and trust.  All the celebrities listed above have one common thread, it is easy to like and trust them while they show the traits listed above.
