Planning-- Makes All the Difference!

Read More: Discipline  |  Personal Development

Almost daily, I talk with people who focus on stuff that will either make no difference or will actually have a negative impact on their business and/or personal life.

This is a lack of perspective. When you’re in the heat of the moment is NOT the time to be making your next decision. MLM planning is best done in your peaceful moments, by yourself, with no outside pressures. You can see clearly and you can plan clearly.

Those pressures will show up on a regular basis, for sure. It’s critical to your MLM success that when you must deal with situations, you follow a plan prepared in advance for exactly this circumstance. The alternative is to react when your mind is in turmoil. Not a good time to be reacting.

And when planning how to handle a situation, train yourself to have some perspective. Imagine that you are actually a year in the future, looking back at this “problem”. Then ask this question:

Was that thing really any big deal?

Most of the situations people agonize over today, they won’t even remember a year from now. So what’s the point of wasting time focusing on something like that?

Occasionally, you’ll come up with something that IS a big deal. And this little trick will help you spot it when it happens. But you’ll learn that most of the time, the best course is just to make ANY decision and get on with your life and your MLM business.

Maybe you had an argument with someone close to you. Maybe you handled a prospect badly. Or lost your wallet. Or caught the flu. Will you even remember it a year from now?

Chances are, it’ll be just one more irrelevant detail. Taking this perspective won’t make everything go away, but you’re sure to laugh at some of the situations that used to throw you for a loop. So instead of getting angry and/or overwhelmed, plan ahead. Train yourself to use your energy for better purposes.

Planning

Hi Jenny!

Wonderful article. Planning leads us into what I call more of the "ideal scene" in our lives.

It's true that even with the best laid out plans though, one will fall into situations that

one was not prepared for. But the mindset of one when one is in a difficult situation is

all so important to the resolution of the problem. Negative vs Positive.

It's like Thomas the Tank Engine said "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can."

That is the same for Planning. And of course the other half is the action.

Thanks Jenny,

Dan S.

Hey thats right!

Planning is like growing a garden.  It's good to have a few volunteers come up every year! Make sure you get those weeds pulled before they become too big!

Thanks dear!

What you Plan for is what you GET

So your Best Bet is Plan to Not let anything take away your focus.  And Negetive things always take you off course.  See Negitive things from a Distance.  And Positive things up close.  \

Planning

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for your article. I sometimes an enemy of planning. I do not plan. I let go things. And do believe that if it is for me it is. But I invest on things I needed to learn to improve by Business. I believe on planting seeds and let it grow. Our business off line and online needs to be nurture, needs patient, honesty, and it will pay us.
