Possums don't watch for Cars.
Living in Arkansas is a trip, you can see all sorts of critters crawling around, everything from Elk, grazing like cows along the highway. (The cool part is watching the people stop in the middle of the road regardless of traffic to see a few Elk cows.) People take there time around here, have you ever seen someone ride their brakes while driving up hill? Only in Arkansas...
One thing I've noticed, there are more dead possums in the road than any other critter. Now why is that? Hmmm, not only do they get run over, but they get run over in groups of 2, 3, or even 4! It's like network marketing, some are attracted to scams and bad deals like possums to the lights, and since there's always a few that fall for the hype, the smoke and mirrors, false promises and sales gimmics, when things go down, they go down on everyone the same.
Now take this example, I personally know 5 people who all worked in the same company, and had a combined income of almost a Quarter Million Dollars a month. That is until the big smack down from above plastered them like so many possum on the highway. Now why would a company want to do that? Hmm, quarter million flows back into the coffers, because it don't go to the upline mind you, they had a clause for that!
What was abundant prosperity came to a screeching halt, and they were stuck with a million dollar lifestyle, and no income to support it, ouch, thats gotta hurt!
The moral of the story is, read well your companies policies and procedures, and don't get caught with a possum's grin in the headlights of some maniac's car. Educate yourself first, and you won't be a casualty! Makes perfect sense, don't it? You'll find answers if you do alittle research. Got some free education for you on my profile!
Yours in Success and Prosperity, Stay off the highway children!

Possums
This comment has nothing to do with marketing, though you made a great point that people rarely take to heart.
This has to do with possoms.... I lived down south for 8 years. Those "critters" are so hilarious. We used to make jokes about "Pure, Sun-dried, Southern Possum". Thought you'd appreciate the humor in it. lol

Good point made Paul.
Good point made Paul. Michael Dlouhy says always to do your 'due diligence' before you embark on a business opportunity.
And I also want to share a possum story - A little one started coming to my deck (where I feed stray cats) during the worse part of the winter....cold & deep snow. I put cheese out for him and only saw him a few times.
About a week later I saw a much larger possum....mother? father? Dont know.
But then when the snow cleared I took some stuff out to the compost and there was the little baby possum......frozen solid. His body is still there.Dont know whether to let him become compost....or dispose of him. Cant decide......
Anyway stay healthy, wealthy & wise everyone
All the best

Hello Jared! Where ya been?
Been Possum hunting? We missed you!
Hello Janet!
It's a metaphor! Has a lot to do with Network Marketing and why people fail, like blind possums who fail to make it across the road...
Possums don't watch for cars
Well...I am very interested in finding out that possums are everywhere....we, in Southern Oregon, haven't always had possums...in fact, they are not indigenous. But, not only do they not watch out for cars...they are also, not too smart in the field of watching out for dogs!! They come into my backyard, without asking permission, ....ok, how can they ask, right? Anyway, my dogs love to track them down and end their humble little lives. They must not be too bright. I always feel badly when my sweet dogs harm anything...but it is their yard, and they do love to patrol. Funny...I doubt that we have had many network marketers around here in the past, either. We are a small town, a really wonderful small town....could be anytown USA...but we are Southern Oregon, where the pace is fairly slow, people mean what they say, jobs are not in abundance and we really care for one another. Network marketers? Possums?....not really a familiar breed!!
