Redefining the MLM Mindset
You will find if you haven't already that most people have a negative mindset when it comes to an MLM opportunity. The first thing people will say is "Oh, that sounds like a pyramid scheme to me." I get so tired of explaining what a pyramid scheme is. It really gets old after about the hundreth time of explaining it. I actually in my mind for some reason picture a hick with no teeth saying it like this. "Ah mane that sounds lake a paramad schem." I know its kind of cruel but I am really just being honest. I really do picture some guy with a baseball cap and overalls with a big wad of Scoal in his mouth.
On a more serious note, this mindset is preventing people from ever hearing your opportunity in the first place. People are defensive by nature and because of this preset human condition, you have to use a different approach than the one that seems most logical, that being telling people about the benefits of the opportunity. Telling people about how great your opportunity is will do absolutely no good when it comes to the average person. Most people simply are not interested in your opportunity and if you are in a typical MLM business with an overpriced product, they will not become customers because the value of the opportunity and the possibility of more income because of the higher price doesn't relate to what most people are wanting.
Let me tell you a little bit about a different kind of opportunity. This opportunity is based on a product that everyone needs and believe me, once people try this product, it is a product that they want. Instead of mandating that people buy multiple products on autoship to qualify for the business, this company only requires that you buy just one product at a price well below wholesale. Remember that this is a product that everyone needs and once they try it, it is a product that everyone will want.
Think about this business model for a minute. People are getting a product that they already need, a product that is superior to anything else on the market for a below wholesale price and the home business is free. this completely changes the way that you market the opportunity associated with the product. Why? Because the business is free and the product is cheaper than what you can purchase a similar product for at the store. This means that the focus remains on the product and the opportunity can be given as a bonus after the person becomes a customer.
Now there are cases where you will find people who are interested in the opportunity. This is a prime example. I am not looking for people who are interested in the product as much as I am looking for people interested in joining my team in this business. I am looking for business builders on this website, but when I promote the opportunity offline, I simply give people a small sample of the product and within five minutes they become customers. I tell them after they have ordered "By the way, you also get a free website if you choose to promote this product. Doing so can easily make this product free." Then I send them to their own website branded with their name and let them watch the video that explains everything about the business.
This gives a new level of excitement to someone who would otherwise not even listen to your opportunity. Why? Because they already believe in the product and what is better than an easy way to get the product for free. Most people after watching the income possibilities associated with this opportunity get really excited because this business model is so different to anything else out there.
I know, you want to know what opportunity I am talking about. It is making you itch, isn't it? Well, if you are really curious I guess I will give you a link.
