Jesus Of Nazareth - The Greatest Network Marketer Ever

Jesus Of Nazareth

The Greatest Network Marketer Ever

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Mt 4:19

As far as I am concerned, Jesus of Nazareth is the greatest person who ever lives.  He is the consumate professional of any and all professions.  My basis for this statement is the Holy Bible, specifically the King James Version.

That he could take twelve ordinary men and sell a message that eventually would cover the entire globe is visible testimony to that fact and entirely sufficient to convince me that my affirmation is true beyond a shadow of a doubt!  I should surprise no one then, that I would affirm him to be the greatest Network Marketer who ever lives.

The above scripture is one verse from the writings of Matthew. Matthew 4:18-20 .... And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

As Multi Level/Network Marketers we also essentially ask individuals and grouips of individuals to follow us, and we will make them . . . . .

I have often reflected upon the above passage of scripture.

It is a very simple statement of what I see as a narrative of profoundest  proportions.

A man (Jesus) walking by the sea shore with no apparent visible means of income and no advance publication, engages two men, busily involved in performing their profession which provides their livlihood, speaks a simple phrase with an invitation and a promise, and these two brothers, as busy as they were, immediately perceive his promise and his invitation to be of such potential value that they are persuaded to leave their chosen profession to follow this one man.  WOW!

I essence we, as Multi Level/Network Marketers perform the same function.  We invite individuals and groups of individuals to follow us and we will make them fishers of men/women, etc.  Our methodologies are a bit different, but nontheless we are saying to them, "If you will take a portion of your personal time and commit to following me and doing as I do, and as I say do, I will make you able to enjoy life in much higher proportions than you are likely to achieve if you continue in the way in which you are."

This is perhaps an over-simplification of the actual facts; but when I reflect upon the audaciousness of a person to make such a promise to me, knowing my ultra suspicious nature, I stand ready to ask for all kinds of credentials and proofs of the intruders ability to deliver on the promise.

Just one more short paragraph and I will let you go.

Recently I heard or read a statement by a Master of MLM, the exact person I don' immediately recall; but his statement went something like this.  "Take a good look at yourself in the mirror, and if you can't think of at least five reasons why anybody should follow you, get out of MLM NOW!"

Makes me think

Hi Perry,

Great post.  I agree with you.  Jesus is the greatest person that ever lives.  He changed my family.  I have known Him since I was 12.  Thank you for sharing that post.

I have to admit, asking someone to "follow me" in business is scary when you are new to it yourself.  I feel like I need to "get it right" so I want disappoint those I sponsor.  I want to have everything set up and ready to go.  I feel like the ones I have already sponsored are missing out because I am not teaching them how to build their business with Web 2.0 because I don't know it yet myself.  Guess you can tell I am new to BN and Social networking.  I have a lot to learn.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Blessings,

Teresa Baine
