Seeds of Greatness

One of the things that holds many of us back from starting new projects is a nagging fear that we may fail.

Fear of failure is one of those evolutionary traits that is hard-wired into our brains to help preserve us from danger.

Maybe a caveman needed that trait. After all, if he failed in his hunt for a sabre-tooth tiger he wouldn't get a second chance. far better for him to take the easy, safer option and hunt for a rabbit.

But we are no longer cave dwellers and by and large, most of the things we put off wouldn't result in us being torn limb from limb if we get them wrong.

Much of our procrastination is created from the self- delusional belief that we are bound to fail, so there is no point in starting anyway.

Oddly though, the very things that we think are beyond us are the things that we ultimately learn to excel at.

The act of pushing our own boundaries raises us to a new level - most often a level that we never believed possible!

There are only two kinds of failure that you need to fear:

1. The failure that comes from not beginning. This failure is absolute. Not starting something is a far greater failure than starting and not succeeding. To fail to even start is to deny your own potential. And the day you stop believing that you can be better is the day your life stops progressing.

2. The failure that comes from giving up too soon. At least in this case a beginning has been made. An acceptance that the world can be better. But how sad to stop at the first hurdle. The lists of multi- millionaires the world over is filled with people who failed once, twice or a dozen times before finally succeeding. Their dreams remained intact. Their aspirations never wavered. They learned that failure was not to be feared, rather, it should be embraced as a lesson learned.

When we believe in ourself,

When we believe in ourself, And believe we can attain anything we wish. Now Hold that thought for a second.  How does that make you feel.   Now  believe that you will receive all the help you need as long as you stay focused on your purpose. How does that make you feel. Your sub conscious mind will have no choice.  You planted the seeds and the thoughts no need for you to be negative to make it grow. In fact you are to Bless it. and water it and Love it and a miracle happens and it grows.  Be afraid to not  plant seeds of Believe in Your Self.

Thank you Dianne for helping me When I needed it you showed up a Miracle

That is my thought.

Fear of starting, Fear of staying, I have a Fear of Stopping!

Every time I've stared that fear in the face, I see that emptiness looking back at me.  There is absolutely no option left for me but to press on past the fear. A  J.O.B. for career and retirement purposes cannot cut it anymore,  at best a temporary distraction from that which gives me purpose. We are commited dreamers here, moving forward to change the world, collective minds creating the new world!

Fear of Trying

Great Topic Dianne

I see it all the time and its starts at an early age.  I see it often in children who are afraid to try new things because they are afraid of failure and how they may look to others if they fail. It carries over into our adult lives.  I know many Olympic Champions, they all overcame fears early on and learned that in order to excell they would have to press past their fears and put their reputations on the line.
