Selling Hype Really Ticks Me Off

As I was dressing this morning, I was listening to the "boob tube" in the background, and an infomercial came on. What this clown was "pushing" seriously ticked me off. It is this kind of garbage advertising that gives the rest of us honest Internet Marketers a bad rep.

This bozo was hard selling his Internet Millions, or Marketing Millions, or some such hogwash, to every desperate and grabbing for hope wallet he could pitch to. All of these people giving testamonials on how they have no computer skills, no internet experience, but suddenly they are making $ 250,000.00 per year. Give me a freaking break!!

If you are new to this industry, or are simply looking at it to see if it is right for you, then you need to listen up. THERE IS NO FREE RIDE !!! If all it took was to shell out $ 500 bucks, push a button and sit back and watch the money roll in, why on earth would anyone ever work? Everybody and his brother would be raking it in with the "Easy Button"

I hear it all the time "I want to get out of my J-O-B". Here is the reality. If you desire to become a succesful internet marketer, then you truly desire to be an Independent Business Owner. Plain and simple. As a business owner, you have to work to make your businees grow, and be succesful. Have you ever gone out into your garden, stuck a seed in the ground, pushed a button and up pops a tomato plant ready to be picked!!! Heck No!

If this is how you think an online business is going to work for you, then I seriously suggest that you remain in your 9 to 5 day job. You are going to be seriously disappointed otherwise. Here is what you can really expect.

You don't have to be a technical computer geek. You don't have to know how to build a website from scratch or write HTML. There are plenty of ways that you can market online that require very little technical knowledge. we'll have to save all that for a future topic.

The true point I want to get across here is this. "IF" you diligently work at growing and expanding your business and business skills; "IF" you study the industry, and reach out to others for help and advice; "IF" you have patience and are willing to put in the time that it takes to set up your business and begin to see results, "THEN" you will certainly reap the rewards of success. "THEN" you can fire your Boss. "THEN" you can quit your J-O-B.

Yet you are still going to have to put effort into it. I'm not going to call it work, because I do not work at it. A wise man once said that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. That is why I do not work. I love this industry, and I love the time I spend in it.

You can stop working also, if you embrace this industry with a mindset of love and passion for it. Love meeting new people. Love extending a helping hand. Love seeing your business thrive and grow. Love achieving success through hard work and persistence.

So don't fire your boss or quit your day job until you are totally ready to commit to what it takes to be a business owner. You will have to learn how to market. You will have to learn which online tools are going to best work for you and your particular business. You also have to set down and think of what intrests you enough to fall in love with it and promote it to the world.

You can join a system or program such as the ones I sponsor. This is not absolutley neccesary, but it does provide you with valuable tools, mentoring and training to make a good start at it.

What you have to watch out for though, is the very thing that got me to writing this. Take your Mom's advice, If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

There is VERY good money to be made in Internet Marketing. It is entirely possible to make $ 5,000.00 in a week. You can even earn a six figure income. All this is true and not hype. The hype is, that it is going to happen overnight at the push of a button. That is the lie that ticks me off when people sell it.
