What is a Solutions Provider?
People aren't looking for products or for a business opportunity. They are looking for solutions to their problems. People aren't looking to spend $100s of dollars t lose weight. However people will spend $100s of dollars to fit into a dress for their grad reunion.
When people are sick, they just want to feel well again.
People aren't looking for your specific product. People are not looking to join your network marketing company. People may be looking to earn an extra $500/month. Although you may see your business opportunity as the perfect solution they are nowhere near making that leap.
People are not so interested in what it is; but what it can do for them.
What's in it for me?
WIIFM?
As strange as this might sound, your opportunity may not be their solution. They have a problem and if you are in the weight loss industry or the health and wellness arena you have a solution. But so do a myriad of other others.
How are you going to separate yourself from the crowd?
With everyone flocking on line and flogging their product, it's very easy to separate yourself from the crowd. Most everyone is selling a product or a service.
STOP!!!
What are you selling? What are you marketing? You need to know what you are selling. Hint: You are not selling a product or a service. You are selling yourself. You are the product. You are your brand.
Are you branding yourself as a pushy sales person?
Or are you selling yourself as someone who offers value? Whenever you put content out on the internet you are creating your brand. How are you doing so far? Why not learn to sell yourself first?
Selling yourself by not selling.
How refreshing is that? My Mom always taught me that whenever everyone is doing something it's time to do something different.Give to give. Without any expectation of return. This is how the Law of Attraction works.
My online experience has been that most everyone is in a network marketing business. They think their company is the best and that their products are the best and we are a very loyal crowd. In the old way of doing things that would have been the end of the conversation. For me it's just the beginning.
Before any money exchanges hands people have to feel comfortable. both you and your potential partner need to feel comfortable. To feel comfortable means a relationship has developed. People have to first get to know you and trust you. This takes time.
How do you make friends? When you meet someone for the first time are you in their face or do you let the friendship develop over time? This is no different.
Traditional selling focuses on giving the presentation, closing-always be closing and overcoming objections. The focus is on you. And getting what you want. This is uncomfortable for you as well. It creates anxiety. It creates a fear of rejection. So much effort is put into overcoming objections. What if there weren't any?
