Smells Fishy? Might be dead fish! : 3 lures into scams.

1 "I'll do all the work for you" or "You have to do nothing".
It is true that anyone can network and succeed in this business but it is not effortless. (nor does anyone want to do it all for you.)
2 You'll make 72,802.30 in the first 3 months.
Anyone who promises that You will make x $ in x months are either lying to you, or enticing you. One way bad, the other way illegal.
3 "If you don't join RIGHT NOW then You will LOSE money." or "Don't you want a good life for your family?"
The appeal to fear and guilt as the selling point will only work as a motive till the up line turns their head. This is bad for both people as the up line doesn't want to scare the crap out of their down lines every day (that takes a lot out of a guy). Having fear and guilt as Your "Why" won't work for long, soon both up line and down line are dead fish.
You can be sure that these ads are targeting people who don't have the experience to know that they are being taken. These ads will lure people who might give you a check but wont take you anywhere. These ads do not target serious networkers who know that there is no substitute for the time, hard work, and the bold, fearless, hopeful, attitude required for this field of work.
Avoid these tactics and you wont have to wash that slimy fishy smell off your hands. Knowing that You haven't taken some elderly persons social security or some single parents rent check for Your commission.
You will be building a team of builders that will take you to the top no matter what your offering. If you choose to use these lines don't come crying to me that your down line are a bunch of dead fish.

Great post. The one thing that stuck out to me was the line, "I'll do all the work for you," that is called welfare mentality. Yes, there has to be a degree of work involved. Working smarter not harder, still involves work! I hate the smell of dead fish.

PT Barnhum the famous promotor back in he 1800's said that and it hasn't changed even today. In fact, with the internet it is probably worse. It has always amazed me that people will reply to ads that make impossible claims as you stated above but, they do. I guess that is what keeps those "fishermen" working so hard! We are all told over and over, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is". Why isn't everyone listening, I guess it is the same reason so many lottery tickets are sold every day thoughout our great country. All of us want the great American dream to make it big and realize our dreams for us and our families. Some of us just seem to forget that our forefathers had the same dreams but, they knew the dreams also came with hard work!

Here's another one. xxx and xxx and xxx were all earning millions in another company and now switching to this one. get in now for massive spillover.!!! Don't make me gag! If you have a good product with a good marketing plan, great. In all my years in networking I have NEVER made many dimes from "spillover" . Networking is really no different from traditional business in many regards. Primarily, if you are lazy, you are not going to be successful. Thanks for a great article.
