So Was Mr. Dark Angel's "WP" A Bum Steer, or Was It More of A Bum Steer?

"Who Needs Concrete Shoes When You Can Just Recommend Someone To A Bad MLM!" --Randy Enman

Thank you Steve Anderson for your great comments and personal review of WP after using its products.

It was both inspiration and vindication for all the heat I've been catching on this subject, and I've gotten plenty. LOL  And I've also gotten some great comments and insight from both pros and cons.

Let's focus on some of Steve's comments for a moment.  He says he's used the media function and it seems to have uploaded and embedded fairly well, but the player is fairly simplistic and maxes out at 30 MB.  OK, that's a so-so outcome there.  Let's keep going...

Unless you are an Elite or Premium user, you are limited to a maximum number or autoresponder campaigns....  DRUM ROLL PLEASE!   ...and the maximum number of autoresponder campaigns is...    ONE!   One word here... laughable!

In his comments Steve says he recommends another contact manager that beats WP hands down, which pales in comparison.  I believe the word "dinosaur" was used in there somewhere.  His recommended product includes autoresponder, landing pages, tasks, a realationship builder, and "heaps of other features."

Steve had not yet tried the meeting function provided by WP, but heard plenty from his friend Ian Parkin and referred me to his scathing review.

Parkin was so disgusted to the point that he wrote back to his entire list and apologized for recommending WP to any of them.

His main issue was the meeting function of WP.  It simply would not function at all for him.  He claims it had bugs in IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari browsers, as well as computers running both XP and Vista.  WP meeting failed to perform!

A buddy of mine, Mark Ford, Technical Wizard Extraordinaire, said this is quite common in a lot of these internet MLMs and hyped up pre-launches, etc. that the software is released way ahead of being ready as a viable product for the sake of the quick dollar.  He further said the prelaunch was probably delayed for this very reason, and they still didn't get it all fixed!  Then the individual or program disappears as quickly as it came into fruition.

Parkin's dissatisfaction grew as he realized the suite of tools were truly only effective to promote WP as a business opp.

The initial appearance was that this tool would be useful for an all around internet marketing tool kit to use promoting whatever business you esteem.  Apparently WP does not esteem its unwitting pre-launch junkie's interests as much as it values its own, the quick dollar!

Parkin refers to the opp as "just a shallow money game which will obviously implode upon itself rather quickly." and goes on to say, "I would have believed that D---d D’A-------o, would not have put his name to something with such a short life expectancy (the 15 day money back window). Wonders (and scams) never cease!"

Parkin states that CONTACT is all about emailing 'My (WP) Downline' and goes on to say "The WP MEDIA was good, although rather out of date in not matching up with the HD dimensions of YouTube."

Fortunately, there is a money back guarantee, and if you've signed up as a paid member ACT QUICKLY to claim your 15 Day money-back guarantee before your time runs out.  (...or the company simply implodes under its own weight of essential valuelessness.)

Parkin says to ask for a refund you will need to log into your WP account and in the Dashboard page you will see HELP on the top menu. Select CONTACT US, enter your name, email and choose Billing Issues in the Select Category window. Type Refund in subject line, request refund and cancellation of account in the question area and MOST IMPORTANT, paste in your Transaction ID as copied from your email receipt of payment. That should do it. (And press send)

Oh yeah... Start watching out for all the spam you'll be getting in your email inbox shortly!

Curious about Mr. Dark Angel's integrity.  Check out the following story from the MLMTeam Blog.

"The man that has put his name behind... “A Health Product Liquid”, Mr. "Dark Angel", had once been the President of --- Health Sciences, a company that I had been a Marketing Representative with.  This was also another MLM/Network Marketing company that marketed a weight-loss system.  Prior to his departure from --- Health Sciences, it had been discovered by the Board of Directors at --- Health Sciences (to this day, --- Health Sciences is a publicly-traded company) that he had “watered down” the ingredients in their liquid nutritional product called “whatever”, and modified (i.e. “dummied down”) the ingredients in one of their nutritional supplements called “----100”.  He had also masterminded a “giveaway program” for the 2 aforementioned products. --- Health Sciences lost millions of dollars due to the marketing of this “giveaway program”.   Due to the previously mentioned negligent actions of Mr. "Dark Angel", this caused the stock price of --- Health Sciences to plummet, thus the Board of Directors requested the resignation of Mr. "Dark Angel".

Would I want to get involved with another company that is associated with Mr. "Dark Angel"?  To be very direct, I will say that I’d rather be put into a room with 20 lions and stick my head into each of their mouths – one by one.  This would be putting it very kindly!"

I think I mentioned in a previous article or comment on BN that I had actually made the call on this program from about a one or two minute review of the front page of the offer.

If you'd like to learn how to do this dandy little trick yourself for any similar program, grab my free eBook and I'll be in touch.  Feel free to PM me too!

WP's fall from grace....

 Another great post Randy...

I would not say I was smart enough to stay away from WP. I would say I was wise enough to stay away.

I have been involved in this industry now for ten years and have seen lots of things come and go. Usually I can smell a Bum Steer from a far off distance and save myself from getting involved into someones Spider Web!

Hey...Speaking of spiderweb, remember the spiderweb system that was hot for awhile? Where did it go? No one talks about it anymore. I wonder Why... :)

What does surprise me though is how a lot of people here at BN who have been trying to come off as leaders here in BN got caught up in the Hyped up  frenzy and endorsed the system as some great new system that you just got to sign up for because of all the value it offered and all the money one could make with being involved in the pre-launch.

It reminds me of the old cereal commercial on tv....I'm not going to try it. I'm not going to try it either. Hey...Lets get mikey to try it! He will eat anything.

Once again Randy...Thanks for having the courage a couple weeks back and taking a stand while probably in the back of your mind you knew you would get some Heat from many people here on BN.

I don't follow the masses in this industry. I follow my wisdom which has served me well over the years not to get caught up in the HYPE that does no good for our great industry other than to have it continue to give this industry more of a black eye!

To Your Success,

Larry B.

Thanks Randy

I appreciate the update of WP. I did watch this at a distance to see if they would release a good product. I also anticipated that the 100,000+ prelaunch signups would dwindle to 5% range.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the great

Thanks for the great comments on yet another get-rich-quick scheme.  I saw the other posts at your previous discussion about the "pre-launch" and people were just downright rude.  I hope that some of those same people are now wondering what they have gotten themselves into.....

Keep up the good work......

Not smart enough then, But I am now!

Hello,

Just wanted to say I wasn't smart enough to stay away but I opt for the free join and never went back for the so called get in now before the launch, it just wasn't drawing me to go back and put my money in, also I had tried to get some answers about some questions I had like how was this supposed to promote my primary business and they never gave me an answer. I also was blessed to read some comments about wp here ( I believe it was your comments and that too kept me from putting money into it.) But I will now read your e-book so it will never happen again.

Thanks for Making a Stand

Randy, your willingness to make an unpopular stand against scammers will go  a long way towards educating people.  I know your free ebook can help people who are truly interested in what works and what doesn't when building a legitmate 5 pillar company online and off.

Cheers,

Education

I believe you will find that most professional networkers avoided the prelaunch.

Folks you need to educate your self as to the ways of MLM if you are going to pertisipate without getting scamed.
