ALLRIGHT!!! I Have A New Prospect... What Next?

In the olden days when I was getting started in Network Marketing ( of course it was not called that back then ) my first move would have been to bombard my prospects with all the reasons he/she needed to join my business. I would tell them how much money they could make, how the products were the best thing since sliced bread, how much money my upline was making, lie about how much I was making and how many people I had in my downline etc.

 

I was doing this out of desperation. I had an agenda of getting them to join my business and I still have that agenda today but the big difference is I no longer have the desperation. Today I found out as much as I can about the prospect. Most importantly I find out what their problems are and see if I can offer them a solution to their problems. The more solutions I can offer, the more people will want to join with me in my business, maybe not right now because the time may not be right for them, but eventually they will join if I continue my relationship. I don't have to fix their problems for them just teach them a solution. I am nothing but a professional pointer there to point them towards an answer.
