Bummer, I got Rejected Again

A prospect went to my capture page, filled out my easy form and my excitement level went up. I got him on the telephone, pitched him my business opportunity and he said no. How could he say no? I have the best products, the best compensation plan, the best system for getting leads, the best training and the best upline. My voice must suck on the telephone. Maybe he didn't believe I was making a 6 figure income, even though I'm not. I must not be cut out for MLM. Here I am feeling rejected again.

Can anyone relate to this? Lets break down what I did wrong.

First I pitched him on my business and 85% of the world hates to be sold to. I did not try to establish a relationship. I did not care about what he wanted only about what I wanted. I did not tell him how he could benefit from joining my company.

Second, I lied to him about how much money I was making. Not only is this morally wrong, it is also known as enticement and the Attorney General does not look kindly on this.

Third, I lacked confidence. I allowed myself to feel rejected. So what is the solution to feeling rejected?

Never ever pich your company to a prospect on the first phone call. Establish a relationship, build some curiosity and set an appointment. When telling a prospect about your company, whether by phone, email or in person, always lead with benefits. That's worth repeating always lead with benefits.

Even if everything is done right, your prospect may not join your company because the timing is not right for them maybe their finances are not good, maybe they are going through a divorce, maybe their dog just died. Whatever it is you do not have to take it personally. You have a vision of success, a vision that cannot be clouded by someone saying no. The phone call never really happened but it has in the past. If it could be messed up I did it. I have confidence today and that confidence came about by practice. It came about by overcoming fear. It came about by doing the things I didn't want to do. The difference between a successful person and a non successful person is a successful person will always do what the non successful person will not.
