What is It That The Pros Aren't Telling You? - Network Marketing Secrets

Read More: Closing

Network Marketing SecretsYou've probably read lots of different articles and emails online outlining successful network marketing secrets. There are quite a few out there, and some offer some pretty good ideas. Most people are in search of an easier way to accomplish their online business goals, so this is a popular topic. Ultimately, the secret to successful network marketing is whatever works to develop a stranger into an associate or colleague in your network business.

So how can you do this successfully? Unfortunately this is the part where most network marketers fail. Once a prospect is in front of them, they immediately turn around and want to sales pitch them.

Have you ever been told how great a company is and someone try to sell you? It happens everyday to millions of people, and it's going to happen again. What about, "If you don't join now you'll be sorry!" Uhm...does this make you just want to grab your credit card?

Preselling is the Essential Secret

The essential secret to network marketing success is preselling prospects-not giving them any kind of sales pitch at all. A couple of network marketing experts-Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard-spend a lot of time teaching and preaching this concept. Ann is with the Renegade Network Marketer and Mike is at Magnetic Sponsoring. Both tell you that you should never start out by asking for the sale!

The reason most people don't utilize this and take advantage of it is because they lack the patience. However, as far as network marketing secrets go, this is just about the most powerful aspect to building a business.

Preselling involves taking an interest in educating your prospect. When you do that, you never need to give a sales pitch at all! The relationship evolves naturally and is much stronger than if you tried delivering a sales pitch. Here's how it works when done correctly:

1. A prospect enters your lead funnel.

2. They contact you about your opportunity-typically via email or by responding to an offer. They anticipate you will launch into a sales pitch (as most usually do). But instead, you don't. Rather, you provide information that focuses on them-and how they can go from wherever they are now to achieving their goals.

3. Each subsequent communication from you focuses on educating this prospect about how and why someone would want to build a successful online business. Your messages focus on the importance of providing other people with information they need and can use. Your message never ever gives any kind of sales pitch.

4. Following communications conducted over a period of time-usually three weeks or more-the prospect trusts you and understands that you are sincerely interested in helping other people succeed in building an online business. They ask you what online network company you work with. A good number of them will inquire about how they, too, can join in this successful endeavor.

Hopefully, by now you can see why preselling really is the single Best Network Marketing Secret. It involves helping other people visualize their own long term goals and begin to create a plan for achieving them. Then they discover that you may be able to help them and come to you to get involved. You never even have to ask for the sale at all!

Secrets

You are absolutely right Amir. Everybody is selling you the most powerful secret to increase sales volume! And the secret is only the struggle to catch another "desperado". Your point is correct and is the only way to really found a proper "network". Well done.

And it's a lot more fun!

Thanks Amir... excellent article. The good thing about this approach is for most of us it's a lot more enjoyable developing a relationship than it is 'going for the sale'. Less rejection and better filtered prospects who are more likely to do something.
All the best from the UK... Richard

The right way

Amir, thanks for the article, and this needs to be passed on to alot of other businesses, who miss the boat. Thanks again

Natural selling

That is exactly it! It's what is called "natural selling". When we simply engage in a dialogue and see how our company can be of service to them, if it can, and we don't end in a sales pitch, people will be more attracted to us and to the opportunity we are offering.

Thanks for writing the article! Hopefully many will read this and start doing this. =)

Great article, Amir!

That's exactly what it is all about ... building that relationship between you and your prospect/customer instead of going for the ( probably one-time) sale.

The Secrete Is That There Are No Secretes...

Hello, Amir.

Very informative article, my friend. It is all about building relationships and offering value. We should not be thinking of ourselves and our business. If we pay more attention to the needs of others... our needs will be met in return.

Building rapport with people and building relationships will, in time, build you and your business. What do people like to talk about the most... THEMSELVES! So listen! Then pay it forward and offer value into their lives. The more we do this... the more attractive one can be.

So... how can so many different people/companies have so many different secrets to winning and becoming successful. Everyone is different... it about learning the different tools, acquiring the skills, and then practice and take action. Eventually you will find what works the best for you... Because it fits your personality!

Thanks for a great article, Amir,
Derek

Many people will never learn!

Hi Amir
Even if, you are right by saying that there are many other articles about marketing secrets and how to do internet marketing, many of "internet marketers" do not understand what are the successful strategies. They continue to pitch, "ask us to mary them at the first meet" and do not understand why internet marketing is not working for them!

Also, that remembered me another article (I nomore can find it) that told as a "secret" that to succeed and have clients, you should first create lead to your website and then create relationships with your leasd! But to be able to have prospects and leads, you first need to create many relationships, establish your credibility, and make other trust you.
Leads come from relationships. Relationships do not come from leads (or from sales pitches).

Thank you for your great article

Excellent Advice

That exactly how it is, people hate to be sold, no one is interested in your opportunity or what your selling.People are looking for leaders some one can help them to succeed. You need to market yourself. It is all about building relationships and offering value, establish your credibility, and make other trust you.

Mike Paturel — Thu, 10/22/2009 - 10:30am

Hi Leila

We can call it secrets, red buttons or magic pills it doesn't change the fact that people are looking for the easy way and as long people are trying to avoid pain they will keep on searching for the magic pill.

In my case after few years of struggling in the mlm industry the magic pill / SECRET was (and still is) like you wrote Relationships and building trust, the moment i understood that EVERYTHING changed.

Thank you for your awesome comment :-)
Wish you all a wonderful day.

A Tale of Two Dealerships

People love to buy things, but they loathe being sold to.

I love to shop for cars, but I hate to deal with most car salesmen. I found these two dealers across from each other. They offered similar but competing brands. One was all about the hard close, and the other took the stance that they didn't care whether you left with a vehicle or not.

I hadn't been around this particular part of town for a while, but when I drove by recently I noticed the "hard sell" dealer was boarded up and shut down. The more indifferent dealer had remodeled and expanded!

Do you think it's any different in interpersonal sales? No sirree ;)
