The Facts About MLM Scams

Multi-level marketing companies as a whole have a bad reputation. Online, you can easily find hundreds of testimonials of people who were once part of a MLM company that claim someone stole their money. Is this industry full of scam artist? The fact is any industry can be corrupt. A MLM scam may have took place in the past. This does not mean that you should stay away from network marketing! It just means you should do your homework before handing over your credit card number.

One common MLM scam rumor is that this is just another pyramid scheme. This is the definition of a pyramid scheme: A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. Whats the difference? With your traditional pyramid you can definitely become rich. But only those who are at the top of the pyramid make any real money. Everyone else is just throwing their money away. With MLM its a little different. Yes this is a pyramid type set up. But in this system each person starts a new pyramid. That’s why its possible to join a company and become the top earner over someone who has been there for years.

So if that’s the case why are there so many people online that say the MLM scam is real? Even though it is possible that someone out there did take there money, its not likely. A lot of times people are quick to play victim and make excuses because they underachieved. This business like any other business takes a lot of work. There is no path in life that will leave you rich in a week. That does not make it a scam. Many people fail because of their own issues and then just blame someone else. There so many people, in this industry, that have been successful and made money in a legal legit way.

Don’t let the failures of others hold you back. Misery loves company everybody knows that. You can’t let what someone else could not do dictate what you can do. There are plenty of success stories in this industry of people that have done things the right way. You don’t want to give up on your chance to be financially free because of an untruthful MLM scam story. Do your own research and don’t pass up on the potential opportunity of a life time.
