How to Use Gmail to Build Your Network Marketing Business

Read More: Sponsoring and Recruiting
I have been using Gmail for the past 5 years and when I saw the newest updates my prayers for a free tool to help track my clients had been answered. If you are looking for a system to manage your contacts Gmail is the best free service available. I'll take you through a few of the techniques I use with Gmail and you can try it for yourself.   The free storage space Gmail has to offer is more than most people will ever need and you will never need to delete an email because you are out of storage. So you can keep all your emails and when you add people to your contact list all email communication between you and your prospect will appear in recent conversation.   First step for this to work is you have to add your prospects to the contact list. I recommend you setting up groups. I use MFF for my Mentoring For Free clients, STB Team for my Network Marketing Team, FB for "real" friends at Facebook, and FAMILY for my you got it my family. Now as you add them to your contacts add them to groups. I have discovered that it is best to set this in the beginning.   Second, when you get an email notice that you have a new prospect open the email at the top you will see the tabs Archive, Report Spam, Delete, Move to Inbox, Labels, More Actions, highlight the down arrow on More Action and you will see a list of seven actions. You want to choose Add to Tasks. (This is a a new function and you do need to add it to your Gmail you can do this by visiting Google Labs and enabling the Task function.)   Now you have set a task to make a call to your prospect. You can add a specific due date and write notes regarding this task. I set a specific date and in the notes I add the time I am going to make the call. The best part about this function is that when you create a task from an open email it attaches a link to the email in the task..   Third, you have your task and its time to call one of two things is going happen the client answers the phone or they do not answer the phone, I handle it this way using Gmail.   If my client does not answer the phone I just move the task to the next date, I send an email letting them know I called and I make a note in the notes that I left a message. If I get my desired results and they answer the phone I listen to them carefully to discover how I can help them. I make notes after the call in the notes section and I always make an appointment with my client.   You don't want to use the Task Function but you want to create an Event. (Go to Google Labs and enable Google Calendar for Gmail). You can easily set an Event by clicking on the tab More Actions and you no longer have to jump from window to window to use your Google calendar!   In summary you now have a place to keep your prospects information by using Gmail contacts. You can create to do lists with the Task Function and organize the follow up with prospects by using the Events Function. Keep your inbox clean, set reminders and stick to your Tasks and I guarantee you will have success using Gmail!!
