I’m Sick and Tired of Uplines not doing their JOB
Why are so many people quitting MLM Companies as fast as they join? Have you ever wondered why when you’ve finally successfully recruited a prospect into your down line, they leave?
This use to be me, I was one of those prospects that joined a very well known MLM company but, quit within months of joining and it wasn’t because the company was bad it was because I had no serious training what so ever.
The reason why so people don’t succeed in MLM or Network Marketing is because of this lack of education and knowledge.
The last MLM Company that I join before I said “that was it” did the exact same thing. You see my upline was willing to give me the strategies a sort of ...here is the list of things that I do...go figure it out and this was very frustrating considering I was living half way around the world from them and that I was brand new...
Sure you can tell people to use banner advertisement, use MySpace, create videos, write articles, use PPC, get a domain name, create a blog and capture pages. It is all useless to the new recruit unless you can explain and take the time with your new recruit and show them how to use the strategies (either through one on one conversation or through training courses that you developed). Giving them a road map, showing them from day one what they should be doing instils confidence into your new recruit allowing them to continue.
Just signing them up and walking away hopping that they make it on their own and that they having that mentality of “If they quit oh well, who’s next?”is awful.
Stop you’re giving the industry a bad name...and it’s not helping other professionals.
I use to have that problem even with my last upline, he told me to write 30 articles a month and create 30 videos a month. But then I asked myself since I was really brand spanking new, what the hell do I write about? What do I talk about in my videos? How do I create a MySpace account and profile?
That’s the problem especially when your brand spanking knew. You don’t know what to do. What you think is good for your articles might not necessarily be good for your business. And we don’t want you to just go out a SPAM social networks like BetterNeworker, Facebook , Twitter etc. trying to generate leads for your business.
The best thing my upline ever did for me was he introduced me to someone else, a man who knew what it is like and had the answer. That man is Mike Dillard.
Mike Dillard has a series of education courses that literally walked me right through the learning process without the help of my upline. You see your upline might not know how to be a good teacher, they might only know how to talk a good game to get you to join and succeed in their business. If you are serious about a home based business and you’re new, you need to take things serious and get your hands on some serious education.
Remember most of us have never run our own business before joining the online industry and it can be frustrating and disappointing if you don’t have the right guidance. You’re learning something new; take your time do a lot of self developing and get educated. The success and freedom will come, you just need to get serious and start by learning.
Don’t forget when you do start recruiting others into your business, remember what it was like.

Your upline doesnt have this job
Hey Chris... The term is independent business consultant. It isnt the upline's responsibility to make you money, it is up to you. This is why it is always better to build locally before national or global unless you attracting someone who has the internet skills and saavy about the industry.
Each company offers some kind of training to duplicate. When a system is in place it is a road map to follow. A new recruit show get their feet wet in the first 30 days with the company system and recoup their initial investment before delving into other arenas. Most MLMers have never been in business for themselves and believe they can achieve overnight success. It requires diligent, consistent effort over time with a plan and it requires daily action steps.
The real winners are the people who rise up and become leaders because they learn how to communicate with people and build relationships with them. Just giving some one a to do list is worthless as you found out...especially when you have no idea how to get to the next step.
Just validates why Mike Dillard was able to create this community and the tools that work in network marketing and in info marketing. When you understand the compensation plan and how to multiply your efforts it does get easier. It is always going to be about your story and the quicker you create your story the sooner you will attract people who will want to follow you. Until you have a story borrow one from some successful person you admire and engage that person's help, on a daily basis, until to are confident and have your own story....it doesnt have to be the person who sponsored you either.
Surrounding yourself with mentors is a step up and out of your comfort zone to acquire the skills necessary to reach the top. Team building requires a leader. You can proclaim yourself the expert and people will follow you. Most people never implement the tools right in front of them. They rarely face their fear of picking up a telephone or actually engaging someone in a conversation.
Reading books about your new industry will streamline the process. Make no mistake, it is a process.
All the best
Your Right It's Not The Uplines Job to Make You MONEY
I didn't say it was the uplines jobs to make you money, I believe it is the uplines job to be there for you whenever they are needed. Do you believe that the majority of people you will recruit into your down line will have little or no experience in MLM, I certainly do.
All I'm saying is that you can't go and recruit individuals and say well its up to you to be a leader (an individual business consultant)....go out and now surround yourself with mentors, leaders, so called gurus.
Spend some time with your new recruit, get them started, show him the ropes or at least what you know that will help them in your opportunity. It the same as if you were to apply for a new job, would they not train you? or would they tell you to be a leader and figure it out yourself.
All I'm saying from my experience is that I was always able and willing to do whatever it took to succeed. I still found it to be frustrating not getting full answers, or no answers at all. It wasn't until months later that I finally got answers. Should it take a new recruit months to get answers? I don't think so.
Love your comments, but again as I refer to my article you can't just recruit new downlines and then tell them or expect them to go read books, go get mentors, develope your story or steal someone story, these are people looking for a way out of the 9-5 grind or people looking for that way of life that they saw in these caption page that show the high life.
I know its a process and I tell everyone that, that this is not a get rich quick scheme. It's like owning any other business.
Thank you so much for the comment, I 100% respect you and what you have to say.

It's about team work
Couldn't agree with you more, Chris.
This is a relationship business. People join people. So when you join a MLM company because of your trust and advice of a friend most likely that friend joined for the same reason and he or she doesn't have the knowledge or skills to pass on to you.
It is important to surround yourself with a master-mind team of mentors and leaders who will help guide you and teach you the skills that you need to be successful in this industry. It's about the whole team coming together and helping each and every member of the team to get answers and the support that they need to succeed.
It is not a get rich quick business...it's about owning your life!
Thanks for sharing your insights.
