Is It Really That Hard To Recruit?

This is a question I got from one of my new reps who just started with me this week. I have been working with her for the past couple of days and she has been doing her research online and bought this question back to me with a confused look on her face.

My first thought was to tell her my answer which is “no” you can recruit anyone you want. Then I thought about how I was when I first joined my company and decided to take a different approach.

I wanted her to understand the concept of recruiting so she does not fall into the trap that most network marketers fall into.

You know, they get so caught up in the aspect of recruiting that they fail to help those who already joined them. So I told her recruiting is like offering your business to someone else as a franchise. You show them plan on how they are going to be successful and you let them know how they can get started.

She said “well, if it is that simple, why do people struggle so much?” I told her many people lack the planning part, they speak to people everyday about their business and what they have to offer but fail to show them  how to be successful.

Its like mcdonalds telling you you can open up one of their stores but you will have to create your own system to be successful we don’t provide that. So you now you are stuck with a store and trying to figure out how to run it well to make money.

After awhile she got the point and understood that recruiting can be easy if you have a easy proven working system that you can offer to anyone and if applied they can make money.

So many network marketers put so much emphasis on recruiting and ignore that fact that if they system is not turning over customers or distributors people are not going to join you. With everything going on in the ecomony right now, people are looking for things that work. If your business or opportunity provides that capability, you have no problem in recruiting.
