Curiosity Killed the Cat!!

Read More: Phone Skills

Ok, we don't really want to kill any cats but
Curiosity is what you want to create in your prospects
mind on the first conversation.  Instead of trying to sell
them right away and tell them about your opportunity and
bore them with nonsense about your company, You want
to Build their Curiosity.  Why?  If your prospect isn't
Curious their Not going to listen to what you have to say!
By building their Curiosity you get them thinking "Hmm,
Maybe I do want to Listen to this guy!"

How do you build your Prospects Curiosity?  Offer them
Some Free Valuable Skills.  Ask them what their struggles are.
Regardless of what they say tell them, "I learned some skills
from a good friend of mine who has been doing this a while,
and one of the things they taught me was..." for example
"Most people do they like to sell, or do they Hate to Sell?"
the answer is always, "They hate to Sell."  So, if most people
are sales resistant, we need to approach them without appearing
like a sales person.  If there was a way of doing this where people
would only have to follow instructions rather than Selling wouldn't
that make it a lot Easier?  Everyone can Follow instructions right?

By providing people with Valuable Skills and having them Follow
Instructions rather than telling them to become a sales person, it
makes it a lot easier to build a huge Organization in Network Marketing.

Build their Curiosity, Teach them Valuable Skills and Provide them
with Instructions to Follow and you can't go Wrong!

Sweet Nick

I think you are so right we have to create Curiosity. and be Curious about them 1st. Your Friend for lIfe Juanita Waterman

Curiosity also gave The Cat all he was looking for...

...and MORE! We could all learn a thing or two from cats; they know that taking the time to stop, look and listen allows hidden treasures to be discovered. :-)

Curiosity.....

....First of all......Nice post Nick. This will help a lot of people get on the right track. It will get your prospect started and hopefully to stick around for a while. But is it going to be enough to get them to BUY?

Probably not :(

People buy EMOTIONALLY...and the AVOIDANCE of PAIN will spark a stronger response than CURIOSITY.

Everybody should think of their own buying habits. Curiosity gets you to maybe take a look...but you BUY to solve a problem (AVOID PAIN).....right?

So while focusing solely on curiosity MIGHT get them to look, the the quicker YOU become curious about THEM (right Juanita? :) ), have them reveal their PAIN and present them with ways to AVOID THEIR PAIN...The quicker THEY CLOSE THEMSELVES!! :)

So like Nick said "Build their Curiosity, Teach them Valuable Skills and Provide them with Instructions to Follow and you can't go Wrong!"....Just don't focus too long on curiosity :)

Curiosity saved the human!

Great post Nick, curiosity is one of the strongest human motivators and creates "attraction" a lot of the time. It's the same in Network Marketing as it is in relationships, people are curious about who you are/what you do but there is also a fine line between these too.

We need to identify peoples curiosity. Whether it be to make money from home or anything else and then we create a product or service geared to answering the questions that are caused by this curiosity. Just like creating the Magnetic Sponsoring system, it invokes curiosity by offering a free gift and then educates the individual throughout the process.

Great points and I agree with you that we need to gear our marketing more towards answering the questions that people have and using their natural curiosity to bring them through our funnel.

Keep up the awesome work,

Curiosity is key..

That is what they say. I have to agree. Today a group of three of us were talking and laughing. Curiosity got the best of the person near by to join our conversation.
Great post. Thank you.

Curiosity is Leverage... Not Kill the Cat

An old saying, "curiosity killed the cat." This is interesting. Curiosity can be used as leverage. It's intended to get the prospect's attention with some form of marketing advertisement... a product, a service or opportunity, and this is a good time to build relationship. There are two types of target markets, your warm market (those who are in, been, or aware of MLM; family and friends are also considered your warm market...people you know). Your cold market (we like to call it here) are opportunity seekers, or someone that doesn't know they need a MLM business yet. When a lead opt into your capture page they are looking for information...., or to see if you're the person who can help them with what they're looking for. This is the best time to establish relationship and offer value and/or your assistance to help. You're so right Nick... you don't want to kill the cat.
