What Do You Do When You Don't Know The Answer To Your Prospect's Question?
In the network marketing world, you just can't sit behind your computer and expect to achieve great results. You have to network with your prospects.
Prospecting really isn't that hard. That is, unless you make it hard.
Here's what I mean: So often network marketers often tend to over-think about what they are going to say when all they need to do is go with the flow of the conversation.
Are you to prepare? Of course. Should you study all the facts about your products, marketing system, compensation plan, etc? Absolutely. I am not saying to be complacent, uninformed or lazy...
What I'm saying is, "RELAX." Be yourself!
When you script what you are going to say, when you rehearse the answer to every possible question your prospect may ask, all you are doing is putting a tremendous amount of unnecessary pressure on yourself and setting yourself up for failure.
So what if someone asks a question that you don't know the answer to? No one knows everything there is to know about everything, not even about their own area of expertise! And no one expects you to!
Your not knowing the answer to a particular question only puts you in a tight corner if you let it. Allow your insecurity to reflect in your voice and your prospect will pick up on it.
Whenever you get all tongue-tied in a conversation, it's because you are thinking too much. Thinking too much about what you "should" say. As if there were only one right answer you could give, one specific direction you could steer the conversation!
Don't make a big deal out of your not knowing the answer (because it isn't) -- simply tell your prospect you will look closer into it and get back to them about it because you want to give them as thorough an answer as possible... Do that and it's a non-issue.
Simple. Natural. Stress-free.
Stop creating stumbling blocks for yourself... It's only a conversation...
