Apply Etiquette When You Present Your Business Opportunity

Read More: Prospecting

Some associates are sending me private messages that resemble sales pitches. Now I want to make clear that there are distributors who never present their opportunities as advertisements. The first business opportunity that I joined, I actually recruited myself. I decided to join the opportunity and selected the associate that I wanted to do business with. The moral of the story is that I read and heard many sales clichés. Has anyone sent you a PM or e-mail that is blatantly promoting their business or products? Please describe parts of the e-mail or PM that you thought were excessively promotional.

P.S. Although there are many products that do not serve a need for me, I will be more than willing to refer these products based on how easy it is to identify their target market. Fortunately, my pondering how associates present their products/opportunities has made me re-think how I discuss products.

If you want to share your information about your company with me, you can e-mail me at Justice44@rocketmail.com to answer the following questions only:

Note: Please do not answer these questions in this thread, it is intended to answer the topic questions only.

1. How were you introduced to this company?

2. What lead you to buy the product/service that you are marketing?

3. What is the target market of your product or service?

4. Can you provide reports that show continued growth and profitability for the last 5 years?

5. Is your company traded on the NYSE? How has it performed on the stock market for the last five years?

6. Provide an initial overview of the compensation program. What is the amount of compensation per enrollment or sales transaction?

Make every effort to be brief with your answers. I cannot promise that I will answer excessively long answers in a timely manner or at all. Also do not respond in a promotional manner to my questions. If I am interested in further discussing your product/opportunity, I will send you a response.
