Are You Really The Hunted?

Read More: Prospecting

If you had $50,000 in the bank, and now expanding, and needed to hire a team player, a new business partner, what would change?

You're going to give £25,000 to the right candidate and together, you're going to work as a team.

Here's my questions...

  1. How would you approach prospecting online differently?
  2. How would you approach networking online, differently?
  3. What would you change right now?

I'll start with just a few, and you can add the rest on what would change...

1. You'd ignore every post that asks, "I'm looking for an MLM company.."
The reason why is, you want someone who has the common sense, to take their time, to know how to use the website pages.

You want someone who thinks more, plans more, and who is as cautious as you are and values their life, the way you value yours.

Where it says 'companies' is where all the information about different companies are.

The profiles, are where other network marketing members are and the one who is serious, has the mindset, will look at people's profiles, their activities, the value they bring to the table.

So, if the person cannot be bothered to do their home work, is he or she, best fit to be a partner, a team player, within the same company you are in?

Think about it.

Are you the hunted or the hunter?

2. You'd not leave one darn spammy link on any thread, for a major reason.

The same reason, why you won't put your business card on a bus, or a window of a car. Your business is not trash. It's your pride, your job, you've sweated to bring it to the level it is at.

It's your name, it reveals character and most of all, it will reveal desperation or integrity.

So, you'll observe who is a leader.

You'll network, observe, mingle, watch, and see who is answering questions, who is serving, who is bring value to the table. You are not looking for everyone and anyone.

3. You'd not go for huge numbers. You'll look for quality!
Instead, you know, that you don't need 500 prospects. You want to attract potential leaders, go getters and people who know what they want.

They just looking for a leader and they won't ask but hunt for the leader.

They'll check blogs, articles, profiles and search. They'll keep their eyes open, be on your list and follow to see how you market, how you teach, what you got to offer.

Then, they'll chase and ask, "Hey, be my mentor! What do I need to do?"

You don't need 500 leaders. You just need 6 or 10 because just one potential leader, who you will empower, train, reveal their obstacles and how to remove them - will do more than 30 people who are either ra rah and do nothing, or make excuses.

4. You'd not invite just anyone. You'll qualify.
Qualifying means, that you are going to ask questions to reveal the prospects comittment level, their skillset, their income level, their goals, their background, married or not.

Why?

Because you have a set of values, you are building a team. Every year, you got to split that $50,000 you make a year to hire a team player. Someone who will be an asset to the team.

So your values says XYZ, and you look for that XYZ in the person.

These are your values, your vision of the team, CEO's, company you are building and if you have to say no, so be it. You're not going to give that seat just like that.

5. You'll hire expertise, a specialist, a mentor.
Time is of the essence and you want to make sure, that you get to where you want to go fast. You want inside knowledge, strategies so you can train the team faster, better.

You also want to be the sharpest, the bravest, the most knowledgeable because to attract the best, to attract leaders - you know they are going to want a leader.

And THEY'LL KNOW if you are one too.

These are but five and there's plenty more.

6. You're going to invest in specialised skill.
Gone are the days to wear 10 different hats.

Leaders trust a strong brand. Someone who is known for something they are good out. A credibility that has grown and is now wide spread, and known.

However, to have this, you'll need to invest in specialised skills. You'll need to master one method. You'll need to be willing to do what most won't do and cut time off, from free stuff.

While others surf for hours on end to look for free stuff, you are investing in the tools of the trade and specialising heavily. You know, that leaders will not join a talker. They are hungry for someone to show them the real nuggets.

And it's not going to come from one ebook, or a course.

It's time to really knuckle down, get disciplined and specialise and be known for ONE thing, that the whole crowd say,

"This is the person to go to. They are KNOWN for this skill. They are PASSIONATE and love doing this type of work."

Are You Really The Hunted or The Hunter?

Take a look at your approach in forums today, facebook, and other people's blog, and think if what you say, do, is really going to attract leaders or tire kickers.

Now, look at the BIG FOOT you left behind for ALL to see.

Is it doing you justice and your business justice?

WONDERFUL!

Adam, GREAT article.

You get it. Unlike a lot of others, you understand the big picture. And more importantly, you didn't put a bunch of links to an "opportunity" in your article. That impresses me more than anything else when I read an article on BetterNetworker.

Have a great week!

Thanks Bill

Thanks Bill

The few who are leaders, who read it - it will resonate for them, and may even share it to their team - in the hope it increases values we need to see in our industry.

First the industry before what we need, for what we sow, so shall we reap.
