Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

This is a message, a plea and a call to action for the leaders and aspiring leaders in this industry...
In network marketing, we're taught and we teach that we should provide value to the marketplace and build a community based on relationship with our customers and team members right?
So why does it seem like people still don't get it.
Why is that some "leaders" seem hell bent on sucking the network marketing industry dry as fast as they can before the party is over.
Well let me tell you... the party is far from over!
They're just screwing themselves; making it harder for new people to get a strong foot hold when they get started.
In the wake of an economy in transtion, being smart about your business and implementing evergreen strategies has never been a more critical aspect of success than today.
We must focus on helping people get started the right way, with a strong foundation.
What I don't understand is people who claim to hold that principle true, that show up only to link drop in a forum, on Facebook or Twitter, for a self promotional piece poorly disguised as "valuable" content and then disappear until its time to pimp that community again.
No engagement
Not a drop of authentic interaction.
All they're accomplishing is getting "labeled" a spammer.
What makes that "strategy" even less atractive is when they blatantly prance around promoting how they target "you" purely for the sake of getting traffic and selling their stuff.
Do You Really Want To "Learn" How To Be That Guy?
What saddens me is we see this activity from people who preach the "attraction marketing" mantra and it gives the public a tarnished view of what that actually represents and how it should look. It really speaks to their true character.
Over the last year or so I've seen a lot of these marketers get accounts banned, AdWords accounts shut down, Wordpress and Blogger accounts shutdown... while groups are setup to plaster "content" all of the place in the name of "syndication" and they're getting slapped for it.
The trail of self destruction goes on and on.
Focus on providing value, focus on making yourself and your business attractive to your audience, syndicate your content, build an audience that loves what you bring to the table... but put the effort into doing it theright way.
The thing is, doing things the "right way" often times takes a little longer and requires more so called effort and absolutely requires a higher level of authenticity and true marketing savvy than short lived tactics, short cuts and exploiting loopholes.
Many times I've followed the trail of some hot new person and found it was nothing more than hyped up marketing. It all sounds good, but it's not real. Their strategies sound exciting on the webinar, but it's ineffective in practice.
These tactics and so called marketing strategies in most other circles are clearly viewed as the razors edge of spamming.
The funny thing about this industry is that we're often the marketplace where the "left overs" are served from other industry's marketing techniques. I know... I'm In those other industries.
Some one gets ahold of a technique that was shared in a forum thread 6 months ago or a make money online course from Clickbank and brings it here as some new super strategy.
The problem is by the time it's brought here its late in the game and measures are already being taken to counter it on search engines etc.
But the "playas" just keep doing it.
Over and over. Until heads start rolling.
Accounts start getting banned. MLM as a topic gets banned on a multitude of platforms. Email services, video syndication services, bookmark services and many other platforms and tools begin banning network marketers from using their services.
I can't tell you how many people I get emails from and phone calls crying out for help.
People who've done all this stuff being taught by the self made "gooroos" that popped on the scene a few weeks ago. But their business is falling apart.
What you have is a recipe for disaster.
And the people that will suffer most are the new kids on the block.
The point at the end of the day is to do the right thing and view your business as more than just some street hustle that's here today and gone tomorrow.
It's our responsibility to protect this industry.
Like raising kids, we set the tone for opportunity for the new generations to come.
This is a TEAM sport and it's vital for everyone to stay mindful of what WE do.
"As An Industry."
I love this business.
I love the people in it.
And I love the freedom and options it affords.
I'm passionate about protecting it and some times I get pretty ticked off when I see people abusing it.
Be the people we want the industry to represent ...
not some mockery made fun of on tv.
I Wish You MASSIVE Success and Prosperity in Your Business
Question:
What measures do you take to ensure your team gets started the RIGHT way to help empower the longevity of "their" business?
Until next time…
Live Long & Prosper
