How A Prospect Finds You Online In The Internet Network Marketing Business

This is one of my favorite subjects because it is critical to  your success
in the online network marketing business.

 

In fact, in my honest opinion, besides training and skills; it is the most important aspect of your business.

Think about it: You are a marketer!

You are not just a sales rep or a distributor; you are a marketer. So, what exactly
is marketing?

Marketing is the process of getting your desired message out in the marketplace to
generate customers. Now, what is effective marketing?

Effective marketing/prospecting is NOT going up to total strangers and talking to
them about your product. It is NOT approaching a sales rep at an electronics store
and asking him if he keeps his options open. It is NOT setting up a replicating site
from your company and thinking it will do the job for you. It is NOT handing one
of your business cards to a well dressed person at the mall who you THINK may
be a good prospect for your business.

Effective Marketing is getting your desired message out to a targeted audience who
is looking for what you offer, and attracts those people to you through a carefully
designed system.

So, let's talk about how you can market your business effectively.

 

One of the most effective ways to market is to generate your own leads and attract
people to you.

There are many ways to do this, and I will go through my personal favorites here:

Lets Start With No Cost Or Low Cost Options.

Surprisingly, one of the most powerful no cost ways to effectively market is blogging.
What is blogging?  It is the process of setting up a blog of your own and posting good
content-rich material on it on a regular basis.

A blog is basically a one page website that is like an online journal, diary, or archive
for any material you write about. What is great is that you can post all sorts of articles,
writings, pictures, links, etc. on it whenever you want and keep adding new material
all the time. You do not need technical skills or know about html computer code to
set one up.

HOW you use your blog and WHAT you have on it is the most important part. The
biggest benefit of using a blog for marketing, is that search engines pick up more
information and keywords from blogs than they do for most actual websites.

However, you must make sure that you are providing good educational material for
your prospects on your blog, have all your information relevant to your main objective,
and post consistently (it's recommended to post daily) for the search engines to find
and log your blog on a regular basis.

For those of you who are a little more advanced or want to be advanced in

marketing online - Web 2.0 stuff like You Tube, My Space, and other social

networking sites are GREAT ways to get people to you and to your sites. Here

Secondly, another no cost effective way to market is by submitting articles across

the web to directories:

 

If you love to write or are good at communicating issues, this can be a great way to

get your message out. This technique is mostly effective if you are trying to drive

people to your website, blog, or newsletter. We'll get into websites in a minute,

but a great way to work with articles is to submit them to people who publish a

newsletter or e-zine. People are always looking for good content to use and you

can specify that they can use your articles, but they must include your website

address or your contact information at the bottom.

One more no cost option, is to set up a page at Squidoo.com. I have a page there,

http://www.squidoo.com/Network_marketing_solutions_6 and it gets lots of visitors
at no cost to me. I haven't even used all the features of the page, but it still generates
visitors on a regular basis. It's kind of like your own page on their server. There
are a few ads on the page, but overall it is a very simple and easy way to get your
message seen.

One thing you will want to do to improve the amount of people who see your page,
is to fill in as many relevant 'tags' or keywords in your site. Make sure to put in
words or phrases that relate to your business/product and words that are popular
search words. Put in as many as you can think of to maximize your page.

How a prospect finds you...

Hi Warren,
I enjoyed this post as well as your how to attract people on-line article. Wow, there's so much to learn, but attraction marketing is definitely the way to go. I have gotten so burned out of the "3 foot rule" in MLM that it's really a refreshing change.

Besides that, my market is now the world. Giving value to those people who you are meeting is the key - and you are giving a lot of value with your posts.
