How To Prospect Strangers : 5 Best And Effective Strategies That Will Work
Most likely you have completed your training with your MLM Company and now you have to jump in the cold water of prospecting strangers. Most important you want to make sales without losing your credibility for pitching total strangers. Obviously a daunting task and one that makes you feel nervous and leaves your sweating.
Calm your nerves, you know the program that you are promoting well and you have most likely learned more about how to do demonstrations, highlighting the best features, and most important personal development such as the breathing exercise and how to curb your nervousness.
Approaching total strangers will be part and parcel of your daily business activities, so it is important that you develop strategies on how best to approach them. The AIDCA Formula is one of the best tools which have successfully proven to be an effective way of approaching total strangers without giving them the impression that you are pitching them for a business. AIDICA simply means:
A = ATTENTION
I = INTEREST
D = DESIRE
C = CONVICTION
A = ACTION
Using the AIDCA formula will make it easier for you to understand your position and most important the position of the prospect so that the approach is as comfortbale as possible:
A = Attention:
You want to first want to grab people’s attention. This you are able to do by using powerful words, pictures, video presentation which is aimed to catch their attention.
I = Interest:
This is the most challenging part of your strategy because once you have got their attention you want to engage with them enough so that they want to spend their precious time understanding your message in detail. Listen so that you are able to find out in the process exactly what they are looking for or the problem that they are having. It could also be that they will offer you information as to why they found your information, presentation or pictures offered of interest to them. This is where you take the discussions to the next step – Desire.
D = Desire:
Actually Interest and Desire go hand in hand as far as this strategy is concerned. This is where you are using their interest to help them understand what you are offering and how it can help them solve their problems or meet their needs. Always remember to appeal to their personal needs and wants.
C = Conviction:
The profiles of consumers have changed over the years. They are being exposed to information which they are able to read and access and with time we are seeing that consumers are getting more and more skeptical about marketing claims which honesty some leave a lot to be desired. Do not assume that consumers are foolish by making offers that are not realistic, instead use hard data which you have available to support your claims.
A = Action:
Action here is your Call To Action. Your prospects want to know exactly what you expect of them to do once they have shown interest and taken time to listen to your offer. Your Call To Action should be clear as to what you are offering them, the benefit that they will be getting from you once they make a decision to take advantage of this offer. Remember it takes perseverance and hard work to be a successful Network Marketer. Approaching strangers to make a sale is a wall you have to climb. Make sure that you make it as comfortable as possible for your prospects when approaching them.
