How to listen like a diamond
As I was not very successful in my MLM Business I wondered how the diamond partners reached this status. So I joined one meeting and one convention after the other and tried to talk to many of this diamonds. I wanted to find out what their trick is.
I talk to them and talked and talked and talked..........
Until I realized that this was the point: I TALKED.......
They asked me how my business is going on. And I talked...
They asked me what my dreams are. And I talked...
They asked me what plan I have to reach them. And I talked...
They asked me if they could help my with anything. And I talked...
And the diamonds are listening and listening and listening...
And I went away with the great feeling that I had a great conversation with this diamond. I was so happy that I know more about them now.
But then I realized, they told me nothing about themselves, really nothing. They just listened to what I had to say. And asked me questions.
So I learned:
Who asks the questions, leads the conversation!
And here are some of the questions I use in conversation with my prospects now:
What are your dream?
What´s your plan to get there?
What happens if you don´t reach your goals?
How do you feel about that?
If there is an opportunity to reach this goals of your dreams, would this be interesting for you?
And after asking a question I learned to listen.....until there was silence and my prospect has nothing more to say. I feel this one moment of silence after everything is said... this is the magic trick.
So I sponsered a nice woman yesterday without showing a marketing plan to her, without explaining a product or a company. We were just talking about her dreams and how she can reach them.
