The 4 SW's - The little mindset secret that makes a world of difference!
Calling and talking to prospects can be one of the challenges of network marketing. Your mission is usually to get more people to commit to your service, your product-line, or your marketing strategies. And many people have little or no experience «selling» products when they get started.
And that's a key factor to why so many have a hard time getting results.
NOT because the lack of selling experience...
But because they THINK it's about SELLING!
Well isn't it?
Before you're ever gonna see results, there has to be a change of your perspective on yourself. YOU are not a sales-person. A good friend of mine put it this way: When he calls a prospect, he visualizes himself as the CEO of some big coorporation interviewing potential employees.
And instead of the call being about him selling the opportunity, he has now positioned himself much like an employer who is offering this hopeful one a position in the company.
And all of a sudden, the fear of the prospect backing out isn't that big anymore. If he is not interested, he simply wasn't good enough for the position.
The 4 SW's.
In Black Belt Recruiting, Mark Wieser talks about the 4 SW's. I found them very helpful in getting the right attitude when talking to prospects.
Some Will, Some Won't. So What? Some are Waiting.
I think phone skills will go up as the understanding of those words sink into your heart. It's not about getting as many customers as possible. It's about picking great co-workers.
When I talk to prospects, I have one thing in mind: Will this person be a valuable member to my team? Will he do the works himself, or will I have to babysit him? Is this guy able to create his own results?
Many people will not be cut out for networking, or maybe their computer skills are slim. Maybe their attitude is not right. In that case it may be alot better to just let them go, instead of trying to convince them to join.
Some will, some won't. MOST won't. And the truth is, you're better off with 10 dedicated entrepeneurs on your team, than 100 half-hearted, semi-interested team members.
Remember, you're hiring!

You are so true.
You are so right about the mindset needed as a netweork marekter.
People do not like being sold, so trying to sell will get you the semi-interested people in.
Also, if you turn a no into a yes, you will surely have a person onboard that feels tricked and he will just become a problem to you.
People will need to feel that they had the choice and you accepted them.
Thank you for your article.
