Why are We all Trying to ‘Avoid’ the Inevitable?

I’ve done it, chances are you’ve done it…
95% of the people in this industry
fail because of it….

Some spend $1,000’s upon $1,000
of their Hard Earned Money trying
to AVOID doing this one thing that
is perceived to be so damn painful
they will keep pouring money into
whatever they can so they don’t
have to do it….

There are “Gurus” out their preaching
you never have to do this…

And people eating it right up…

Throwing more and more money to
only end up in the exact same place..

Like a Dog chasing their own tail…

We Avoid it Like the Plague…

But without this, you have no business…

Atleast if you are in Network Marketing…
I’m talking about picking up the phone
And calling your prospects…

Hey, I’m the first to admit, I had major
phone fear.

I believe it comes from the fear of the
unexpected and the unknown.

Prospecting in my head, used to go kinda like this:

What will the person say?
Will they hang up on me?
Will they Flat out Reject me?

Maybe they are not home…
Maybe now is not the right time to call…

Heck I’m too cool, I’ll just wait for THEM to call
me, After All, the Guru said I never have to pick
up the phone – ever….

What if they ask a question I
don’t know how to answer…

These are all VALID Fears and is
exactly why I put myself through
professional training so that
I could overcome this obstacle
that was keeping me from building
a Huge Business…

Because lets face it…

I don’t care how automated your system is…

If you are AFRAID to speak to people…
you really have no business in network marketing.

I mean think about it… This person is agreeing
to do business with you, Essentially, join in a
partnership with you..

They are going to Prosper YOU..
And help YOU Feed your Family…

And you don’t even want to talk to them?
Let’s get back to some basics here…

Let’s pull back the curtain, and let’s go
beyond the smoke and mirrors for a minute,

Shall we?

Let’s all Agree that we are in a “People
Business”.

After all Network Marketing is
based on People connecting with other people
and moving product through various distribution
channels…

Someone has clearly asked for information by
opting into your website…

They have Raised their hand and asked for your help.
Here’s where things get Hairy, and I want to clarify
this for you….
We think picking up the phone and calling these people
means that we are going to get rejected because you
think you have to sell them on your opportunity…

This is WRONG…
Taking a Consultative Approach
A Tiny Shift in your Position, will produce
completely Different Results…

But you won’t know any of this by listening
to all the hype out there and continuing to
throw money at a problem you cannot get rid
of or continue to avoid if you are going to
grow a Network Marketing Business….

You must know that YOU are not the issue…

Let me repeat that….

===>> YOU ARE NOT THE ISSUE <<===

The prospecting call is not about YOU, and
if your prospect is going to Join YOU…

not yet anyway….
On the very first call, you should be taking a
“Consultative” Approach, which means you are
trying to find out what is Right For THEM and
that MAY or MAY Not be YOUR Business Opportunity.

On the First call, you are trying to make a
personal connection with this prospect…

And Qualify them to see if they are even someone that you want to partner up with anyway…

So here are a few things you want to find out when you call….

-Find out what THEY NEED,
-what matters to them
-Qualify them by finding out what kind of a budget
 they have to work with,
-why do they want a home based business
-Find out what motivates them, *(what is their why)*
-Do they have Family? Kids?
Now you have a bit of a profile to work with and
you can set up a follow up appointment…

Here is where I personally like to have a few options.

After talking to the prospect, finding out what their
budget is, their level of experience, their current
circumstances….

I will refer them to 1 of a few things I have in my
“Grab Bag” of Options….

I may send them to my Primary Opportunity at

or to my Cashflow Program:

If they are completely new and on a limited
budget, or have a track record of “failure”
I’ll definitely send them to my Generic
Business Training Company:
http://www.DuplicateLeadership.com

and if they need to Generate More Leads & Cashflow
and Learn Internet Marketing….
I’ll send them to some Free Marketing Training at
http://www.SimpleViralTraffic.com
Wherever I send them, it’s not about ME.. It’s about
how can you BEST SERVE this person who has looked
to YOU as a resource for help…

If they’ve directly opted into your Business Opportunity Website, I would still go the consultative approach. Even though they may be sold on the business, you still want to find out where they are at.

So instead of Avoiding the situation which only
leads to more frustration and Lack of results…

Why not Get Trained on how to do it properly
so that you can get your business moving into
Momentum?

Sometimes we have to just DO what we Fear Most.

It’s like Riding a bike….

We fear that we are going to fall down…

But once we know how to Balance, and have
some experience and a few rides under our
