Run Your MLM Business & Stop Acting Like a Baby

Read More: Sponsoring and Recruiting

Many of us that join a network marketing company joined because we were told that we are starting our own business and guess what? That is 100% true! All network marketing opportunities is a real business and should be treated as such. The business opportunity that you joined belongs to YOU and will require YOU to work it. The same principles you will use in your MLM business will apply if you were to open a flower shop. You will have to find a location, you will have to develop a team of workers, and you will have to pay monthly expenses along with many other tasks.

So, these same exact requirements to owning a flower shop will be applied to any network marketing business you decide to join. Therefore, it’s imperative to know that the person that sponsored or recruited you into the business venture you are part of is not responsible for running your business or making sure your business is successful; but YOU ARE. You are in complete control of what happens to your business rather it be failure or success.

I truly believe that real leaders do everything in their powers to figure things out and only reach out for help when they really need to. You shouldn’t call or email your sponsor every day asking them what to do or how to do something unless you have looked high and low and still cannot find your answer. Your sponsor is there for you if you really need them but they are not there to tell you how to run your business. Your sponsor can give you tips, advice, motivation, and some guidance, but you must put them into action; they are not there to make sure you do what you are supposed to do. You should look at your sponsor as your coach or mentor, not you “go to for everything” person.

So, here are a few tips to help you with your MLM business:

•First thing you need to do is read the information that may have been given to you when started your business. This may answer many of your questions you may have in the beginning stages.

•Schedule an appointment with your sponsor within 72 hours of starting your business, so you can ask questions and setup your goals for your business. Setting goals for your business is crucial. Review these goals everyday and strive very hard to reach them.

•Make sure you completely understand your company’s compensation plan. If they have provided you with a compensation plan video, watch it as many times as you need to, until you understand how the “right now money” is made (if there is any) and how the “long-term” money is made. Once you understand this, I suggest your focus be more on the long-term money. Face it, this is the reason many of us get involve in MLM businesses in the first place.

•Develop your marketing plan. Now, this is the MOST IMPORTANT piece of starting your MLM business. If you do not know how to market and if you don’t know who your target market is, you are in for a rude awakening. Knowing this information is half the battle and will make your life as a business owner much easier.

•DO NOT…and I repeat, DO NOT pitch your business to everyone you know, instead, use attraction marketing to build your business. If you don’t know what attraction marketing is…you better find out quick.

Remember this is YOUR business and you must take action and don’t wait on anyone to run your business for you. So, get that marketing plan in place and start making the money you deserve.

Hi Syvella

When you said "I truly believe that real leaders do everything in their powers to figure things out and only reach out for help when they really need to. Demand what you need but earn it with your efforts.

That to me is a very powerful way to look at your upline.
To your success,

Hi Syvella

Hi Syvella,
You are right on the money with this article. People get involve in network marketing and tend to leave out the most important aspect of the business and that is to "Market" themselves.

See You at the Top!
