Why Trying To Convince People Doesn't Work...
Are You Still TryingTo Get People?
In today’s post I’m going to be sharing with you the one crucial mistake that I’ve noticed is common amongst most network marketers particularly online.Ever go into a store to buy something but you’re not really sure what it is you want to buy, but you know you just need some time to kind of make your decision?
Then here comes the salesperson that asks you for the first time: “Hi, do you see anything you like or let me know how I can be of assistance?” (Nothing wrong with that, right? The salesperson is letting you know they’re there to assist you with your shopping needs)
However, have you ever had that same person come around to you 2 or 3 times and then you think…ok this is starting to get annoying. You feel like the salesperson is trying to “get you.”
How does that make you feel? For most it doesn’t make them want to purchase anything from that person or from that store; In fact it may prompt them to look elsewhere.
The majority of salesclerks work for commissions and they may be trying to hit a sales quota for the day or perhaps be looking to get in that last commission for the day, so if they approach a customer 3 or 4 times within a single day it can seem a bit obtrusive and overbearing.Studies show that people don’t like to be “sold” to, and that the more comfortable you can make them feel during the process of purchasing something the more likely they’ll buy.
Many are using this same concept in the network marketing industry, many marketers are going about sharing their business opportunity the wrong way.
The FOUR Crucial Concepts To Understand To Be Successful In This Industry
1) People buy when THEY’RE ready, not when you want them to.
This industry is about inviting and exposing and letting people make a conscious decision to see if what you have is a good fit for them.
2)People can sense when you’re trying to “get them.”
If you hound your prospects you will push them away. You are here to make money but you never want to come off as pushy.
3)You should always act as if you have MORE than enough.
(its’ way more attractive and will yield you more money in the end) – When you behave in a way that is abundant you will begin to attract more prospects, customers, and more sign ups into your businesses.
4) Learn to “drip” on your prospects.
In order for this to happen, you must be consistent and must be committed to building your business and your prospects need to see that. Anytime you try to force your business down anyone’s throat & they join because they feel pressured will always come back to bite you in the rear.
People should join because they feel a sense of urgency to make a change in their lives and because it’s the right time of them.I’ve had several prospects call me a year later to tell me they were ready to join me in my business, this is mostly because I utilize attraction marketing in my marketing and when sharing my business opportunity.
People will join you when the time is right for them in their life, so it’s important for you to be consistent and always be professional. When you do, the right people will come when the time is right.
If you expect to build a successful and thriving organization in this industry you must NEVER be tied to a result and or the outcome of you sharing your business opportunity.
This means conducting yourself in a manner that is conducive to being a leader and a business professional.
You are simply a vessel being used to share the message. Share it with enough people and the RIGHT people will get it.
