So You Just Started Your Own Network Marketing Business.
So you just started your own network marketing business and you are trying to convince unqualified prospects such as your mom, dad, sister, bother, your cousin, and your broke uncle Joe that you have the perfect business for them. You hear, “No not interested, this is not for me, those things don’t work! Boy are you are just wasting your time! A lot of people come into network marketing and think that they are going to be successful right away and that they do not have to have any training and all they have to do is just tell people how wonderful the product or service is and that they can make someone see the same thing that they see. So they start chasing and begging people to join their opportunity.
Now granted if you can at least get them to look at your business opportunity and even get them to join you is great, but then what? What do you do with them after they join? You don’t know do you? Why, because you have not been trained for what is next. So you just keep trying to recruit people into your business and you may even be good at doing that but a little thing starts to set in on your business and I am guessing you do not have a clue as to what I am talking about do you? Well that little thing is really a big thing and it is call attrition. Simply stated, attrition is when your people start to fall off, they quit in other words. You are wondering why, you are so puzzled because you can see this is a great opportunity and you want to know what is wrong with them. So you start calling and chasing and begging them to get back in. They say no, it’s not working for me and you just can’t figure it out.
Let me explain it to you! YOU do not have the skills to train your people and they don’t have the skills to do the business so they get frustrated and quit. Wait at minute, I know what you are thinking, “I told them to get on the conference calls, bring all their prospects to the hotel meetings, stay plugged in!”, Right?! The problem is that this is not all that there is to owning your own network marketing business. Your prospects/recruits have to develop the mind set that they now own their own business and they have to act like they own multi-million dollar business and they have to develop a posture and a mind set to go along with that and the only way to do that is to start acquiring skills and the only way to do that is to get properly trained. If you owned a multi-million dollar McDonald’s you would have to be properly trained to run it, correct? Same principle!
My mentors always told me that it is okay to copy as long as you copy the right cat. What that means in a nutshell is, find someone that has what you want, do what they do, so you can get what they got! I know it sounds simple enough. What is amazing however is the amount of people who get into network marketing and don’t do that. I know, I was one of those people. I am surrounded by millionaires everyday, I am even assistant to one, and I did not really understand the value of what they were trying to teach me. Even though I thought I was teachable, obviously I was not because I still was not getting the results that they had. Does this sound familiar to most of you? What I have learned is another thing my mentors told me, it is the little things that make all of the difference! One thing that you change can make all of the difference in your business. It could be the way you say something, it could be one word in a sentence. It could be the marketing system that you use. Once I started to really listen to what they were saying to me, I finally got it.
However, there is a big difference in marketing online and offline. If you are like a lot people out there that are trying to market their business online, you must have a system in place that will help you. You have to be trained properly if your goal is to build an organization online using , google, articles, blogs and social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace just to name a few. You have to learn how to position yourself as a leader in the industry before you will get that huge downline that you see so many top networkers lay claim to. The only way to do that is to have proper skills and training.
I want to be just like my mentors, so don’t do what I did in the beginning, start you business off right, study successful people, copy them and if your goal is to market online then get an automated system that will train you on how to generate leads how to talk to your leads and also have a system that will train you prospects from the beginning so you can focus on building your business.
