The Power of Having Home Business Parties!

With all of the Internet marketing strategies being used today (blogging, pay-per-click, social networking sites etc…), a lot of networkers these days fail to take advantage of an “old school” method, that’s helps tremendously in building your local networking team.

Some say they do not work and think they are a waste of time.  The truth is if the parties are done correctly, THEY DO WORK! I even think they are fun and simple.

There is something special about a small group of people seeing a vision at the same time that creates a great feeling.  With that being said, you must run your meetings in the same fashion as your online marketing.  You must let them know how you will help them build their business, not just the who, what, where, when, and why of the company.

The good thing about having a Home Business Party, basically a small business presentation,  is if nobody shows up you won’t be out of much.  you can put the water back in the fridge and give the snacks to your kids or neighbors.  You won’t be out of $350 for renting a hotel meeting room.  I believe small parties are better than big meetings.  This is Network Marketing and if someone new comes to a meeting filled with a thousand people, it could overwhelm them.  Home Parties keep it new and ground-floor feeling.

Have water, a clear soda, a dark soda, and no alcohol.  Have some of your product and give out samples if you have them. ( Example- I always have my company’s natural energy drink available.)  I’ve even been to parties with Red-Bulls.  It’s your party so be creative, yet tasteful.  Cookies  and/or crackers are good.
Have some theme music playing at the beginning.  Caribbean tunes, ocean sounds, outdoor ambiance etc…    Tuesday and Thursday are the best two days to have the home party.  Those two days seem to have the best results for me.  Around 7:30pm seems to be a great time for people to be “Able To Make It”.

Which brings me to my last point, only invite people into your home you think might actually show up, and are serious about making a change in their lives.
