The Tortoise and The Hare
I have been watching with interest lately all the posts from people wanting to build their business fast. This seems to come across as desperation. I believe the true question here is "do I recruit lots of people only to have them drop out 2 months later" or "do I build a business based on relationships where my downline stays with me for years?" I think we all know the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. People love to talk about themselves, their families, their struggles and achievements. If I focus on recruiting I will never know that John just had gall bladder surgery, or that Mary just got married. I will never know that David's son just graduated college or that Diane's daughter just got her first drivers license. In fact I will probably not even know the first names of the people in my business. I prefer to build my business slow and steady with no time agenda. So what if it takes me 5 years to build my business. I am still better off than I was 5 years ago. I have built a gamut of friendships, friends that I know and love. No more of this "gotta build it fast, no time to waste, let's go. let's go, let's go. Slow down and save yourself from a heart attack. Remember one thing, THE TORTOISE WON THE RACE.

The Slow Way
Great advice, Donnie!
When we first heard Art Jonak say "The slow way is the fast way", we were puzzled. Now it makes sense, and you've explained that wisdom perfectly here!
Thanks!

Slow and Steady
Hi Donnie
You are right, Slow and Steady Wins the Race.

Thanks for the reminder!
And your message fits well with this quote, too: “Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” ~Calvin Coolidge
That helps
Sometimes we feel rushed to recruit people into our business but it helps to know that less focus on recruiting an more focus on people will be what matters in the long run
