If you are relatively new to MLM or you are running your business part time, let me congratulate you too for becoming involved in the exciting and highly rewarding world of multi-level marketing. There are two specific elements I would like to discuss to show how to make your part time MLM business more profitable.

Handle Questions Effectively

The first rule in building a successful network marketing business is to focus on your prospects. You can only do that when you have a genuine interest in them and you want to help them get what they want out of life. It is important that you stay in control of the conversation at all times but this can be difficult, however, when you are first starting out or you haven’t built enough experience in handling questions and objections.

It is not uncommon to get questions and interruptions to your conversational flow such as “How is the business working for you?” or “Do you use the products personally?” or “How can you afford to buy them?”

As I said, it is all about controlling the conversation and being interested in the prospect and learning about what they want and need. The way that you do that is, first and foremost, to never evade a question.  Always give your MLM prospect an answer. It could be something like “It’s going great.  I love helping people and I’m having great fun doing what I’m doing,” and then immediately ask them a question to get control of the conversation. 

So, give an answer and then ask a question.  Never evade what your prospects are saying or you may well distance or even alienate them and you have lost the opportunity to get them to say yes. The flip side is you build rapport, you start to build a relationship, and your prospects begin to feel that you genuinely want to help them get what they want.

The more prospects you get to say yes, the more profitable your MLM business is going to be.

Be Ultra Productive and Reduce Waste

Are you frustrated working your network marketing business part time? At the same time, are you perhaps a little reluctant to give up your day job which pays the bills?

Well, I can tell you that I was exactly in this same position when I started in the MLM business. I had a full time job with bills to pay and, like many, I needed another source of income but I knew I could only dedicate a limited amount of time to trying to make a success of it. So, what’s the answer?

For me, I found that I had to be ultra-productive, totally focused and make enough money so that I could start to work my business more. I am not saying it’s easy to begin with but the amount of time that is not given to running your business has to be reduced; and cutting expenses to only those that are absolutely necessary is also very helpful.

If you put all your expenses into promoting your business so that you get as many MLM prospects as possible, both for product as well as business sponsoring, and use your time really efficiently, you’ll see that part-time effort quickly turning into a full-time one. 

The goal is to be as productive with the small amount of time you have as possible, so you can make enough money to start trimming back those hours in your other job in order to increase your productivity even more and eventually work your business full time.
