You're Just A Scammer!

How many times have us "genuine" online marketers heard that?  I must admit in the early days it really bothered me, and I wasted countless hours trying to convince the "online genius" on the other end of the phone that NO you're wrong!!  Much time wasted and a couple of years on I have fun with those conversation now, but obviously keeping them short…

You see when you come across a seasoned sceptic, you are on a hiding to nothing.  Anything you say or do will not satisfy them.  You could direct them to an income proof video and they will just say, "you could easily have made that up", you could walk them through your business opportunity, and in my case outline the state of the art training and education they will have access to, and once again you will be met with "yeah but how do I know you're not lying".  Nothing is going to placate them as they are so consumed with doubt.

So what I suggest you do is be firm with them from the beginning.  Tell them that no matter what you say or do is going to change their adopted mindset and politely inform them that making a career out of online marketing is really not for them and they should just accept the boring stability of a JOB.  Or alternatively why not just do what the majority of us have done and carry out due diligence before making a considered decision.

One final thought is were they to extinguish their scepticism (unlikely) and actually make a decision for once and join your team, be prepared for a needy team member because unfortunately it is in their nature to try and find fault with the business and blame anybody but themselves for their lack of success.

So if you are just beginning an online business, do not be desperate and blindly chase these people, have a bit of fun with them and let them go, you never know you may just make them take a long look at themselves in the mirror and realise that they need to change from within...
