Squidoo: Web 2.0 Traffic Powerhouse

Looking for top ranked search engine listings promoting your business within 24 hours without spending a penny?

Squidoo is a neat web authoring site that encourages shameless promotion of yourself and your business and anything else on the planet, and it makes it possible for you to create new income streams while you're at it!

I was introduced to Squidoo by Ferny Ceballas and Ray Fong in Mike Dillard's "Inner Circle" newsletter, and immediately recognized its value

As an author, you create single-page websites, called "lenses," which are comprised of an assortment of images, textual content, video modules and anything else you can think of. You create and publish these modules and they are hosted on Squidoo.

Squidoo makes it easy by providing modules designed for specific purposes, whether it be link lists, text forms, Orbitz travel, Flickr slide shows, Cafepress promotions, you name it. All you have to do is decide which ones to use, how to arrange them, and what to put in them.

You can use your lenses to generate traffic to your business websites, or as an income stream in its own right. What's different - and neat! - about this is that the search engines, particularly Google, love Squidoo lenses, and often ranks them on the front page of search results. In fact, I have received hits from Google searches within 24 hours of having published a lens! For this reason alone, the idea of creating keyword-targeted lenses to drive traffic to your business sites becomes instantly compelling.

Your Squidoo lenses may very well generate more traffic than your primary business sites do! Considering the cost - it's free - that's amazing!

You can create Squidoo lenses until you're blue in the face, and use each one to emphasize different keywords and phrases for the search engines to gobble up on your behalf. I have published 20 to date, and plan to produce at least 5 more every week.

For maximum exposure, you can link your Squidoo lenses with your social networking (Facebook, MySpace, etc.) pages, and vice versa, as I have done.

It only took me a few minutes to create my Squidoo account and my first lens, which was designed to promote my primary business.

The best part? I got traffic from Google within 24 hours! This is a GREAT tool, and it's free!
