Thinking about becoming a Network Marketer?  Before you do I suggest that you explore your WHY "the reason".  Before choosing an opportunity "your vehicle" I suggest that you create your why and envision your new life, remain focused on that vision.  Everyone entering network marketing should firming have these two task complete before seeking your VEHICLE "Business Opportunity".  Take for example that your going shopping for your next car.  You normally have a list of what you want from your new car.  Such as make, model, year, mfg, accessories, warranties and service.   If you are considering Network Marketing you should have a list, too.  Here is my list that I never...never sway from.

1. Trends - What is so HOT, new to the market, or popular in lifestyles where a normal individual could succeed.  Is it a long lasting trend?  Is it a ground-floor opportunity?  Here is two hot trends in the Wellness marketplace today; 1) personalized nutrition and 2) all natural products.  The next hottest trend is GO GREEN.  As consumers we want products for our bodies and environmental surroundings that are pure = all natural, safe and environmental friendly. I perceive the third most popular trend is the "HOW-TO."
2. Actual Company - Always investigate the integrity of management.  Is the company a member of industry associations such as the Direct Selling Association.  Has the company received recognition in the industry and news?
3. Product - Consider the product line.   Does it meet the trends requirements mentioned above? Are they consumable products on a daily basis to generate repeat sales.
4. Compensation Plan - What is the percentage that you can make on sales and group volume?  What does it take to promote to new management levels.  This is very important!  Can you surpass and make more money than the individual who sponsored you?
5. Training Tools- Does the company offer training.  Do they offer free training?  Are the training tools provided user friendly for everyone to succeed marketing their products?
6. Internet Marketing Technology - If you are going to market any type of products or services the place to do so these days is on the internet.  It's plain and simple.  Just a huge fact in today's marketplace.   Consider these key factors.

• Does the company offer individual consultant/affiliate websites to educate the consumer, sell products and easy self enrollment for new team members?
• Does the company offer customer(s) a hosted website for referrals to earn discounts on the products they purchase?
• Does the company offer powerful marketing tools such as private e-mail center, videos, capture pages with a lead generating system for your business, calendar, advertising banners, etc.
• Does the company have approved lead generating systems allowable for your use that is company focused, but offered by an independent outside source?  If so does the outside source provider offer e-mail, calendar, easy on-line system training, capture pages w/approved videos,  powerful tools for utilizing telaseminar's and webinar's, personal designated (unlimited) 1-800-Number w/faxing capabilities, tracking statistics for your campaign's, auto-responder capabilities, advertising banners and much more.  You would think that a service with such benefits would be very expensive.  The cost of a premium service just mentioned cost you only $49.00.  Even if you a Newbie to such a service provider the one I utilized for my business opportunity even provider success written follow-up letters and cold call scribes for beginners.  Personally, I utilized several service providers for marketing my opportunity to have an edge in the marketplace.  I find it well worth the investment to never ever purchase a deadend recycled lead and it makes follow-up calling so much easier because the potential client or team member is already interested in the product or opportunity by opting in my capture pages desiring more information.

After, you have found the right company opportunity that fits your shopping list criteria mentioned above in numbers 1 through 6, take the next step in your new profession as a Network Marketer. 

1. Decide what you can afford and map out your designation. 
2. Decide how much time per day and when you are going to put on your CEO hat. 
3. Take simple daily actions for your business. 
4. What is a daily business action?

• Following up with your generated leads and giving your support to team members. 
• Staying connected with your team members with a weekly 30 minute leadership call keeping them update or sharing your marketing strategy to help them succeed in their business. 
• Plugging your team members into all the marketing resources and conference calls that you attend.
• Placing a banner, free e-zine ad, creating a video to introduce and brand yourself, doing interviews sharing your story or opportunity.  A great method to receive free promotions and generate leads is by being a guest on a internet broadcast show "Creating Abundance Promoting You" that I personally produce on several broadcast channels.
• Attending Company promoted conferences and events.
• Hosting or attending a webinar or telesiminar for training.
• Organized a monthly (closed invitation team members) event for everyone to connect and build friendships with each other as a united group.

     5.  What are not daily business actions?

• Setting up Social Network Site profiles such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Updating your personal blog site.
• Promoting Affiliate Programs.

Network marketing is a profession of helping others succeed in business "actualizing their vision for their unique lifestyle" not yours.  The big mistake that everyone right off makes when getting into network marketing is thinking that it's a get rich quick scheme.  Folks, you have to realize that you are dealing with people.  You have to care more about what they want than what you want.  You will get your reward of residual income if you care enough about others before yourself.  The second realization that you must accept is that not everyone is cut out for the business.  Don't take NO's personally.  So many people have had bad experience by unprofessional network marketers they just don't know who to trust anyone.  If this is the case, ask them if they have ever attempted network marketing before.  Let them know that is wasn't their fault that they failed.  Almost all network marketers fail in their first experience due to lack of knowledge, how to harness successful marketing techniques utilizing the internet or when relating to people.  Do you see the word experience in bold above or about the word fear.  "Fear of failing anything in life is the lack of knowledge to gain experience."
