“How to get rich” in the new age

Read More: Technology

Have you realized how quickly the world has changed shape over the last 50 years?

It’s like we are leaping into a new reality. Now for most young people this article will be irrelevant for most of our youth are very clued up in the “information age”

A lot of parents are against this, but it’s where the new wealth of the world is being created right now. “This is how to get rich”

Did you know global internet spending is up, despite the economic crisis? And is expected to continue on it’s upwards path. It’s estimated that internet sales will increase to 1.9 billion dollars by 2012.

This is great news! The problem with the baby boomers is that they inherently believe technology is evil.

I mean, besides internet marketing I still occasionally train and help elderly people with exercises, it gives greater meaning to my life and I love the journey. But what I want to tell you is that one of the ladies that I help out every Wednesday (she is in her 60s) tells me about how bad and evil the technology is of today. She told me that as much as 5 people or more were needed to work in an accounting firm where as today a computer can calculate, organize, process and communicate all of those people’s roles. She was telling me technology was robbing people of their careers.

That might be true for her, but I believe it’s good.

Now, how to get rich in the new age…

Let me explain…

Change is inevitable, and we all have to learn to adapt or we “will” be in trouble!

Due to the rapid surge of technological devices and the automated software to run these devices it’s pretty simple to understand our role as humans, career seekers, money makers…

Computers and technology are running our businesses and even our lives much quicker, more efficiently than ever thought possible in the past.

But they can’t be and never will be as creative and innovative as the human mind.

This is how to get rich…

We need to create new ideas for increasing productivity, market share, leverage.

We need to come up with unique products and or services that can be facilitated by the internet and technology.

Be careful about generalization

Michael, I think that you're right-on about how, and where, wealth is being created today. But you might want to reconsider your statement that "The problem with the baby boomers is that they inherently believe technology is evil." Boomers make up a HUGE segment of the growing trend in e-commerce and you can't do that without technology.

I've been involved professionally in technology for over forty years and I'm still an eager student. And a few of my clients are in their eighties having only recently acquired their first computer.

My point is that Internet marketers who assume that the Boomers are mostly technologically challenged just might be leaving a big chunk of change in the pockets of their competition.

Thanks For Your Comment

Maybe I over emphasized a bit! i didn't mean any disrespect to the boomers. The message i want to get across is that change is taking place. I appreciate and understand your input, I believe back ground, industry, and region also plays a vital part in how we all adapt and move into the new age. oh and also personal beliefs as well as personal influence.

Sr. Tech

Michael-
In the heartland of Iowa one of the most popular classes at our community college is called "Sr. Tech". They teach seniors how to use the computer. The targeted age group is 50 and over. We have even had a 92 year old in class! It is more than just the basics too. They want to learn how to email, text message, chat, surf the web, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and the whole gammet.
