Free 20 Participant Web Meeting Room: Forget Goto Meeting

Hey everyone,

I just came across a Web meeting service that blows goto meeting out of the water. It’s called Dim Dim and at first glance you’ll notice the price is unbeatable. You can host web meetings with up to 20 people for free.

When I first saw that I immediately signed up for the service. It worked similar to Goto Meeting , but has a ton of new features that simply puts Goto Meeting to shame.  First off there’s no Installs!  Unlike Goto Meeting,  there is nothing needed to host or attend Dimdim web events.

The interface is easy to setup and really easy to use. Most of the functions are done with one click. For instance, sharing & present documents. You can upload any PPT, PDF, or PPTX file on your hard drive and it is quickly converted to a Flash file.

Dimdim also offers some basic must have functions that really bring your meetings to life. Here’s what I jotted down about Dimdim so far:

Share Computer Screens

Via a small plug-in you can instantly share any activity on your computer screen. Show your desktop, your Photoshop session, even a game.

Share Web Pages

Visit a YouTube page and the video you discover will start playing on everyone’s computer - all in sync.

Share Whiteboards

With one click, you start sharing a collaborative, multi-page whiteboard. Allow any participant to join in - editing anyone’s content

Send Public & Private Messages

Paste an important URL for everyone to visit in the public chat window or chat privately with just one participant –

Record Your Events

All it takes is one click to record your meetings. At the end of the meeting we send you an email with the recording URL you can send to others who could not attend

Share Video (Webcams)

Nothing beats a live face. Easily share your webcam with the entire audience and let them see and hear you live.

Share Audio (Microphones)

Dimdim comes with high quality VoIP so you can share computer microphones

If you’re spending $49  a month for Goto Meeting it’s worth checking out DimDIm’s Free 20 person room. You’ll save $600 a year using this free service when compared to Goto Meetings service.

If you refer people to their service your room size will grow by 5 attendees each time. This is a really easy way to get a larger room for free.
