The 4 Hour Work Week
This is probably some of the best advice that I have heard: You can Work a 4 Hour Work Week!!!
Wouldn't we all love to do that? Can you imagine what you could do with all that extra time? Tim Ferris has put it into simple terms with this one. Would you want to only work 4 hours a week?
I know what I would do: go to the beach more, go boating more, motorcycle riding with my husband, reading more....the list is infinite.
Tim's Principles are pretty simple:
1. Define:
Your lifestyle that you want
The Haves (what you have right now)
What you Want To Do
2. Eliminator:
What are the interferences in your life right now? Is it the TV? Is it your J.O.B.? Is it your kids, spouse, neighbors, co-workers? What is it that is preventing you from doing what you want to do with your life?
3. Set up things so that they become automated:
Are your tasks automated?
Are you good at delegating those tasks that someone else could do for you? Delegate out tasks that take you away from running your business efficiently.
Outsourcing. There are lots of services where you can employ people who will do smaller, unimportant tasks for you at a fraction of the cost it takes you to perform those same tasks. You might think this is a costly idea but how much does it cost YOU to do the same task?
4. Liberation
Wow! Can you imagine feeling liberated from things that are bogging down your business right now? Imagine the mobility of being able to get up and do what you want when you want.
How about it? Does any of this sound like a plan?

One more principle . . .
I think this one is just as important as the others.
Make your business what you want to do. This doesn't mean that you have to learn to love the business you're in, rather that you do what you love. "Follow your bliss." If you love what you do, then you'll do it more and better, and never realize that you're making such an effort.
Thanks Dianne!
Boy do I need a 4 day work week! Good stuff to build balance, the thing that's so easy to forget!
I recommend the book
Thanks for bringing awareness to this community about The Four Hour Work Week. I've been reading it, and recently picked it up on CD. It's a study and an aspiration (as well as an inspiration).
Go for it.
