The Ancient Art of Peaking
A question I get asked from time to time is how do I close when it comes to sponsoring new leads into my MLM business. I do this through the Art of Peaking...
It is a very simple process that we do every day without thinking about it but some are able to master it when it comes to atracting new people to their business.
As we know, most of the world's population hate being sold to, nothing new there right, but there is something very satisfying when we are sold to in a professional way. I know from personal experience that when I have dealt with a professional salesperson that is genuine and knows what they are talking about, I come away feeling very satisfied after the purchase because in no way was it a chore speaking to them.
Think about a time when you have been talking with your friends about the latest movie that is on at the cinema, or a great book you have read. You want to make it sound as appealing as possible and leave them with a great thought in their mind so that they go away thinking about it. Why, maybe for the social status of having made the recommendation, or simply because you want to share the good experience with them and talk about it together.
Now, I know this works for me because I like to end phone calls with potential leads for my MLM business so that they have something to look forward to on our next phone call. This is Peaking in motion, in other words, leaving them with something that sparks their curiousity.
It has taken me maybe four or five phone calls to attract some people to my MLM but I succeed more often than not because I leave every phone conversation on a high note.
I answer all the questions they have for me and simply do not ask for the business because I come across in a way that I want it to be them making the decision to join my MLM.
So, always leave each conversation with prospects on a good note and pick up where you left off the last time.
It is simple really, the less pressure you put on yourself to attract someone to your MLM, the better prepared you are for their questions. You almost have to imagine that you have so many leads that want your business, that you do not necessarily need this prospect. Obviously you would like them to join but by making it out in your mind that you absolutely do not have to have them, the better.
This way you will be more relaxed on the phone and your more likely to build trust with them.
Always leave on a good note and thank them for their time.
I wanted to post this because I know what it feels like when prospecting people for our MLM businesses. It is not easy and after a while, bad habits can take over so just keep things as simple as possible.
The great thing is we all know about this deep down but sometimes we forget the small details make the big picture.
All the best guys
