Arrogant, Dismissive And
Self-Aggrandizing Guy Is !
The story goes like this:
Let's say you are a man and God picked a hundred women. And God say, "Just because I'm really bored, I'm going to make you choose the only women you will ever be with for the rest of your life... from this collection of one hundred women. And I'm not going to let you talk to them on the phone. I'm not going to let you see the photography of them. I'm not going to let you see them on T.V. I'm not going to let you talk to their neighbors. Nothing. All I'm going to ask is, I'm gonna have everyone of those women write you a letter and from those one hundred letters, you pick the women you spend your life with."

Great Wisdom
I have been writing for 13 years, last 3 or so been plunging headlong into copywriting.
You are absolutely right that the length has no real matter. Long and short both have their advantages and disadvantages in certain mediums, neither beat each other hands down.
The relevance is really going to be the #1 reason for promoting length or brevity. Also another key factor to couple with relevance is the visual look of it. Headliners, subheadlines and so on to break it up and make it look appeasing to the eye : )
Good stuff, keep it coming!
