The Hottest Product on The Internet and Why You Should Take Advantage of It Right Now!

I've just been reading through an interview with Gary Bencivenga and it is filled with some very interesting stuff. For me, this is definitely the Internet's 'hottest' product. That is, what is hot right now! Not yesterday, not tomorrow, but today!

Now if you're not selling this particular product, I can guarantee you're not making anywhere near the amount of money you could or should be making! And in case you're wondering what it is, and where do you sign up, and how much can you make from it, and how many folks can you send out an email to in order to cash in as much and as quickly as possible, let me tell you right upfront, that it's not cheap!

Yup! I thought that would stop you in your tracks.

You see, before you can sell it you have to invest in it yourself. Unfortunately, it's not an easy to get into affiliate promotion that you can do without actually buying the product. Not only that, but it doesn't come with any pre-written affiliate site, or banners, or ads, or e-mails, or any of the zillion other resources you're used to having plonked right in your lap so that you don't have to actually do any work.

However, it offers the biggest repeat business of any product I've ever seen out there. So I guess the time and money are worth it for the ROI you can expect to achieve.

Time? Money? (gulp)

Yep. Okay, the time cost will probably outweigh the money cost, but both are involved. I did tell you it wasn't cheap.

And now that I've dampened down your enthusiasm somewhat, let me explain what it is that you want to start selling today.

You, your friendship, your value, your skills, your experience, your knowledge... Of course, you're not charging for these things. But you still have to sell them. And while the idea of 'selling for free' may seem a little weird, just take the time to think about it.

While the Internet has opened up a whole new world, where we can sell our products and promote our business opportunities to millions of people all over the globe, it has also sickened those very same people of being sold to.

They are much smarter today than they were a few years ago. They have a much larger choice when it comes to where and from whom they want to buy. They are no longer interested in flashy, shallow sales pitches, from faceless or silver tongued salesmen.

It's something even top Internet marketers are getting lost with. They start out by offering something really worthwhile, a useful piece of software, a great marketing tip, a whole package of physical products, and these aren't always free, but they do always offer value for money. And then they forget that the reason you signed up was because of the value they offered you in the first place.

Suddenly, every email you recieve is a sales pitch. If not for one of their products, then for someone else's. No more valuable tips, no more friendly banter to check on how it's working for you, or to ask if you're having any problems, or if there's something you don't understand.

Note that I'm not arguing against selling. The whole point of this business is to make money. Nobody goes to work for free! Everyone expects and deserves to get paid for their efforts.

But you have to keep providing value. You have to keep that relationship going on the basis of trust. If that means you pay for hosting a blog or using an autoresponder, or picking up the telephone to give them a call, then that's the price you have to pay if you want people to keep buying from you.

As Gary points out, "You really need to find a product or service from which you can get lots of repeat business because that’s the most profitable and easiest business – when people are coming back to you again and again."

And the reason they will keep coming back to you is because, in their eyes, you offer the most value compared to someone else. The technology is out there for you to build trusting relationships with thousands of people. But if you're using it to sell the wrong product, then you're throwing away your money.

Here's what Gary is looking to buy:

"I want to buy a relationship with somebody, one person I can trust in this investment world, where everybody else is on commission trying to sell me something. Boy, I would really appreciate a relationship with somebody who is truly objective and doesn’t have any product they’re going to sell me except their advice."

Are you ready to sell it to him? Are you ready to sell it to me?

Right on the "money"! :)

Hey Susan! Right on the point there in the present world now.

It's not that it wasn't known back in the old days of where buying and selling was by a simple handshake and an unwritten guarantee based on integrity, unlike the terms and conditions of agreements today.

My dad-in-law told me of the days of yore when he bought a house on a handshake and a trot to the registrar to transfer the deed to his name without any other document than a written piece of paper.

I'd like to go back to those old days very much. It will take a great awakening for the human race to do that, and I would hope that we as a community here in BN can take those values and run with it.

Extremely Impressive.

I was sucked into this article. Relationships are the hottest product on the internet. When did that happen? Do you think it signifies a maturity in the internet or is it a response to the constant no value sales pitches that have inundated the web over the past couple years? Either way it benefits good people who put an emphasis on providing real value and assistance. People like you. Great article.

I Like This

Many people make the mistake and sell.  Yes we need to sell our products but we don't need to have that mentality when we talk to people.  There is one thing I don't like and that is people being pushy and trying to sell without knowing what I need or who I am.

Nice copywriting and good point!

Hi Susan,

Nice copywriting on the article.  It sucked me right in too.  I totally agree with your point.  I've gotten off a lot of lists lately because it was just sales pitch after sales pitch.  And also I realized that I need to be working on building my business, not just reading about how to build my business. ;)

Back to the topic, Perry Marshall is really great about providing value.  In fact, I've cursed him so many times because his actual sales letters start out offering a lot of value.  I get sucked into it before I even realize it's a sales letter.  Gary's "Bencivenga Bullets" is another good pitch-free list to be on.

Thanks folks

Glad you like the article folks. And so pleased to see that the point of 'building relationships' is not being missed. It's not like we're not being told about how important this is. There is so much information right here on BN, that we have no excuse for not taking advantage and applying it.

And for anyone interested in the real techie 'nitty gritty' check out Ferny's post here

I confess it's far too technical for me but it seems that even Google is going to be taking a huge interest in our relationships, how we interact with each other, and making it easier for us to do so. The better we are at building relationships, the more Google love we will recieve.

And glad you liked the copywriting - the lessons are paying off, lol
