The Inspiration of Grandpa's Death

There are so many things that we take for granted in life and usually the things that are taken for granted are the most important.

Life is short.

This is the reality and if you do not take advantage of the limited amount of time that you have here on the earth, you will one day regret it.

My grandfather passed away about two years ago and I will never forget the month before he died, him calling me and asking if I wanted to go with him to help him look for computers. My grandpa had gone blind and in hindsite I realize that because of my interest in computers, he was really just trying to spend time with me.

My grandfather and I were very close. In the latter part of his life I stopped visiting as much because I had a family of my own to tend to and this burdens me greatly.

My grandfather would have spent the money to get a computer even though he could not see just because he realized at the end of his life how precious those few moments we have together are.

I wish I would have realized that.

I told him that I would visit later that weekend and take him to the computer store, but I forgot and before I knew it three weeks had passed by. The reason that I remember the timeline so well is because I got a call from my mom on that Friday telling me that grandpa had fallen on his way out to the mailbox and broken his hip.

I thank God for allowing my grandpa to live another week so I could say goodbye and tell him just how much he meant to me.

On the other hand, I will always regret not taking that thirty mile trip to spend time with him while he was not in pain.

The moral of the story is that by the time we realize what is really important to us, it is often too late.

The rat race causes time to fly by and every second we spend at work is another second spent away from the ones we love.

Network marketing is not a quick fix, but it is a way for you to gain financial freedom.

Yo will not be able to quit your job today, but you can definitely walk away within a year if you work the busness. Think about how much more time this will give you with the people who mean the most to you.

Don't take life for granted. Hug your kids, parents, grandparents, friends and let them know how much they mean to you while you still can.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

I was blessed to spend the last day

with my brother, we lived, worked, played, laughed, and loved together. Was it a coincidense that we just happened to spend the last night at his house, watching Grumpy Old Men, and sharing stories?  Him making us breakfast, loving on us all morning. We even talked about death and dying that morning!  He hugged us and sent us on our way.  That was the last time we got to see him.  We are all here for a reason, to add value to each others lives.  Never let that thought slip your mind, and you will be there when you're supposed to be, catching the moment!
