The learning TRAP!!
This probably, is one of the biggest traps new networkers can fall into. Falling into the Learning Trap!! Is all too common, especially with the more intelligent people entering our industry. With decades of Sales and marketing experience behind me. I can sum up all the training I recieved and have given, into 3 short words. "Go sell something" Nothing is a better motivator than $$$ If you want to succeed in this business, while you are still on the MLM "Honeymoon" Go sell something! Go recruit a few people, yesterday!!
Be it a product to and end consumer, or signing up a new recruit. Closing teaches you the foundation of this industry "You Can Do it!" Training is important, as a matter of fact its crucial. But nothing breeds success like ....... SUCCESSS!!. Countless times I have witnessed brand new people, just latch on to the basics and go to work! "Those who can do, those who can't teach!" Know the product or service works, and TRUST that your manager / sponsor / upline, is behind you and just get to it! You can catch up on the training with bedtime reading. Or by allocating an hour or two each day for studying. But the bulk of your time should be focused on doing BUSINESS!
There are a lot of reasons for the massive fall off rate in this industry, many can be traced to lack of support from your upline, But the main reason an individual excludes themselves is this TRAP. In short, "I have spent the last 30-60-90 days. studying my Butt of and I have nothing to show for it." You get frustrated, discouraged and defeated by your own early enthusiasm. Is training important, ABSOLUTELY!! Have you ever heard of "On the JOB. Trainning?" Well consider your entry level as OJT. This is like a job, because it is a job! But J.O.B. stands for "Just Over Broke" This is the only Job you can ever get, that in a few months can turn into a great business; That YOU own!!
One last point, remember you DO NOT need to know all of the answers right away. Get your self and your ego out of the way and let your sponsors do what the company is paying them to do!! Help YOU get jump started. And if your sales do go through the roof, like many of the success stories you have heard about, well you can be in a financial position to hire someone to take the training courses, for you!! LOLaLOT, and fill you in, as you continue to grow your Business.

The Man is Absolutely Right.
For the newbie who becomes overwhelmed, stick to the basics. Slowly introduce your training techniques into prospecting,establishing relationships,closing etc. It will take time to learn and fully grow in your business.Make the money by building your downline first. Then if time allows explore other realms of income sources.

Oh, this is sooo me. Every personality test I have taken in my past careers I have leaned more toward the analyst, SOOOO, I read and read and read some more, and 30,60,90 days have gone by and I still haven't sold anything and information overload sets in and I start shutting down.
ha ha ha!
See? My time is so limited and valuable to myself, I didn't even read THIS post until now. It would've saved me even more time from writing my own drivel.

too busy to comment!!! LOLaLOT!! I mean A lol A lot!
I am too busy, "Learning" to even post on my own article.!! I'm Trapped between 2 courses, and there is no space in between to even call a pre'occupied'spect!! But No worries LUV, I am getting so smart, if I smack my head twords a frying pan, a sunny side egg, wiil pop out. I am becoming so Bright, I "Let" them turn off the electric!! I am so "HOT" on these subjects, they can keep my heat off too. And I am so "STUFFED" WITH KNOWLEDGE, I'll never have to eat again.!! The excitment and energy I have attained is so high, I am Hiring a person to sleep for me!! (ok! he takes trade!)
And the best part of all this knowlege, is the ignorant people who forclosed on my house, and reposessed my car, and seized every last asset I used to own, including my only grand daughter!!, HA! HA! The jokes on them, they have no clue, of a fraction, of what I have learned!!
